Crazy-high current? What's that defined as?
Very low resistance builds? What's the definition of that?
Good question. I think you'll get different answers from different people. To me, it's more current and lower resistance than I can handle with a readily available regulated mod. At one point, that meant not much below 1 ohm and around 3.5 amps. But now there are regulated mods available that are capable of much more (which is another reason Provape needs to step up their game).

Mechanicals are not just for subohm builds. They have functioned flawlessly for me from 4.2 to 3.7 volts or so with my current batteries. The drop off in performance is negligible to non-existent from my experience.
If you're only willing to go to 3.7 volts, you're only using a fraction of your battery's mAh capacity. Moreover, fully charged at 4.2 volts you're putting almost 30% more power into your atty than at 3.7V. I don't know about you, but to me a 10% change in power is quite noticeable.

Oh, and MM look better too. :D
You might have a point there. But some people don't care what their gear looks like, the only care how it performs. I was firmly in that camp until I saw the ones PDIB is making. And now I'm in line for one. But when I get it, I'll be pondering if there isn't some way to put a DNA 30 in there. ;)

That essentially makes a mechanical a regulated mod. What's the point other than it gives you the option to go both ways? If you use a Kick full-time, why not just get a regulated mod in the first place?

If I should happen to drop my $30 Nemesis clone on the sidewalk I won't cry near as long as if I drop my Provari.

Meh. If I drop my Provari on the sidewalk (and I've done this a dozen times with mine) I won't cry because it will be unfazed. It is every bit as durable as any mechanical mod.

dropping a Provari is no reason to cry ... they're meant to be dropped

I cried the first time because of the small scratch it caused on the end cap. The next dozen times it didn't phase me at all. I don't think ProVaris are meant to be dropped, but it's usually not a big deal if they are.

I bought my used Provari with scratches from a mechanic ... probably was dropped a few times.

Since it seems people are always dropping their mods onto concrete sidewalks and such, I wonder why nobody has ever dealt with that problem in the obvious way, by making a mod with a clip that will keep it in one's pocket?

Oh, wait; somebody has.

Oddly enough, my ProVari was never in a pocket when it was dropped. It usually is in a pocket when I'm going from point A to point B, though. If you don't want to drop a mod, wear a lanyard.

I drop my mod while it's in use, generally.

Protovapor xpv? What do you think of it? I want a DNA 30 and I like the looks of that once it gets the new board

I'm pretty certain he's talking about me. Another person has said the same thing about me before. I can assure everyone that I am not a shill for Provape. I've not received any money, equipment, discounts, or any other compensation from Provape. I swear on my recently passed away mother's grave on that.

I'm just a customer who just happens to believe Provape makes a great product. Like many other member here, I openly comment on the products which I have used and what works for me. I admire companies like Provape and IBTanked, and I research their products and the companies which make them - that's why I know so much information about them. You don't have to be a paid employee of a company to know some of the finer details about a company and their product. It only takes a little bit of individual research.

I'm fully aware of my "status" here on ECF. I don't take making recommendations lightly. People listen to my recommendations based on my experience and reputation on ECF. Many people often PM me and ask, "What do YOU use which works?" (I typically get 5 -10 PM's a day asking my opinions on equipment.) I'll never steer a person in the wrong direction when seeking advice. I often receive feedback that they have literally copy-catted what I use and thank me personally for steering them in that direction. I'm talking about people in the triple digits here. Obviously it works for them, too. Maybe that's why 245 members have requested to be on my friend's list on ECF.

People who accuse me of being a shill obviously are new to the forum and don't know me. I think those people should keep those accusations to themselves because its obviously an unfounded opinion and is meant to be disruptive to the thread in an attempt to discredit my credibility. That's called trolling and is an infraction of the ECF TOS.

Dang... I want to be a shill too!! How'd I miss this thread!! Fun fun!

You kidding? More people would cry dropping their mechanical mods on the sidewalk than their provari:). It's kind of ironic actually
