That's reaching a bit. There are much better ProVari fight threads out there (...and most of them are locked :D ).

its the fact that it has skirted so close to the edge of lockedness (its a word now) and survived that makes it great

Dumb question but, should I toss the brown one? I mean it works and but, not sure how the top got pushed in like that? The brown could be from taking too many 10 sec hits in a row? What kind of meter should I have that tests the battery or voltage? Duhh, I don't know :(
I should've added that I'm using these on my evic at around 4 volts.
Also, I'm sorry for posting here. I didn't want to leave the comfy room. :)

yeah, pitch that thing. batteries are cheap. Reconstructive surgery isn't.

A lost ProVari is a reason to cry.....

I'm not sure why, its not as if they aren't available anymore, were made in such limited numbers that you have to sell your soul to get one, and in most cases folks that own a provari likely have something else in the vapegear stash to hold them over.

Me, I think they are less than attractive. And while looks are certainly subjective, I'd like to think that if placed in a lineup with a hundred other battery packs Provari isn't going to come out in the top of the range.

I would like to see its functionality available in other forms, maybe not its interface, but its power delivery to the atty.

Aside from that, let's just say the Provari has a nice way of delivering power. It doesn't exactly excel at anything else though.

In fact I watched a gentleman try one out at the vape shop the other day, all giddy that the owner was going to let him use the flagship of vape tools in the shop. The look of dissapointment on the mans face was clear. The owner quick to try and recover suggested the man adjust the mythic tube to get a better vape; more than a few seconds later and obviously quite befuddled the man hands over the device and requests aid in his trying to find this perfect vape through Provari settings. End result; the man finally exclaims,"I don't understand what all the hype is about", he obviously was interested, he was on a spending spree of sorts buying this and that, compareing devices and atty combos, etc. The Provari sat alone, dejected in knowing it did its best and failed at winning the heart of a man.

Its kind of sad, but in the end, nobody wins every race, not even Provari.

I'll never own one, at least I'll never buy one. But if someone loses theirs and I happen to find it, I'd gut it and combine its power delivery with the MVP functionality and interface or try to cobble together a more natural one and call it the Griffon.

Using you're 'logic' you love and possibly voted for Obama based on the buzz that was flying around the country, not because you had done much research and check his voting in the house record etc. Yet you somehow resent the positive buzz that goes around abound Provari.
We get it! Those who own a Provari love it. Those who don't own one hate it. Just because some idiots tout owning a Provari as if they're better than the rest or, are the same type who want to go into bathrooms and compare wee wee's doesn't mean you or anyone should be on auto or anti pilot against. Not mature, logic thinking IMO

I suspect that the problem started from dropping your PV. That can tear up a battery.

Chances are, if you used that battery, it would either work, or not work, and no explosions would happen. But considering that if there *is* some sort of an explosion, it might happen inches from your face, you would be a fool to use it. You can buy a decent battery for something in the $10 to $20 range.

Definately! I threw it away yesterday! I'm waiting for a reply from the evic forum or anywhere on what is the best battery for the evic. It uses unprotected batteries. I'd like to get a 18650 as high mah as possible. Actually, I never dropped my evic. I'm wondering on top of 'hitting it too hard' like, at about 8-9 seconds, letting go of the fire button and hitting it again might be the cause. I know, that technique is probably not wise! :)

Oh my God!! Some guy in a vape shop tried a Provari and didn't like it!!

I'd better pitch all 3 of mine and get something else. Obviously I have been misled.

Maurice, congrats on your decision to never own one. More power to ya, man. :toast:

Let me guess, that man bought an MVP and three eGo's and then came into this thread to talk about his out of body experience at the vape shop? :p

So..... if you did find one by chance, youre saying you'd destroy it and try to merge its power system with the MVP's interface? I wont even get into the likelyhood of you pulling such an attempt off but.....

I'd love to see something like that. It would be like ripping out a Ferrari's engine and sticking a Honda 4 banger in there.

I call dibs on the ProVari guts! I've always wanted a ProVari powered box mod, but never could bring myself to buy a ProVari only to rip the guts out of it. :D

Edit: Feel free to keep the MVP's carcass. I'd shoehorn the ProV's circuit board into a REO or something equally classy. :p

a couple of points,,,,,,the Provari isn't magic,,,,,,like any other device, it takes some playing with to find YOUR sweet spot,,,,

and IMHO, the beauty of a Provari isn't seen in the first instant,,,,,,

it hits the same every single time,,,,,no misfires,,,,,,,,,

it's solid, and it lasts and lasts and lasts,,,,,,that's something you can't see in the first 5 minutes,,,,,,,

a Provari grows on you,,,,,,until they have to surgically remove it from your hand to bury you,,,,,, (you can request to be buried with it, but chances are, your vaping friends will pry it from your dead, cold hands and steal it.)
