    Damn Lemo2 - it sucks....
    • Where does eleaf get off giving me the option of trapping wires under screws or in holes? (POS) Can't they decide which is better?
    • Then there's that huge deck - you mean *I* have to decide if I want a dual or single coil in there? WTF? If I put a little 2-2.5mm coil in there look at the wasted space! I put big dual coils in there and just watch my juice and battery consumption! Damn Eleaf!
    • Don't get me started on the stock juice channels - many of my tanks require ether modification or work better with special PG/VG blends - WTF Eleaf? I've tried 50/50 to 0/100 and the damn POS still vapes? I like to work with in limits! (Eleaf does not tell us what they are!) Where are the 'dry hits' ??!?!?
    • Then there's that POS air control that goes from wide open to fully closed - WTF! Who on earth wants ZERO air flow? Why is that even an option?
    • Last but not least is that twist to open fill hole. What a POS! Forced me to stick with my nipple tip bottles - I really wanted to be rid of them - and I almost never get juice on my fingers to lick off. WTF am I going to do with all the paper towels/tissues I've collected at filling points now? Use them for other stuff?
I really HATE these RTA's, maybe the third time (one) will be the "charm" and my first two are just defective.

(please forgive my feeble attempt at Sunday morning humor....)

    Nothing funny about denial.

I was considering a Lemo 2 until this thread. It's my opinion that any tank that has to be disassembled to change the wick and/or coil will eventually leak if you don't frequently replace any o-ring that touches the parts that are disassembled.

I had just replaced the deck ring on my Kayfun V3 and it started making dew around the air hole. Turns out that the vacuum leak was due to the chimney o-ring at the top under the drip tip. That one wore after the chimney spun inside it dozens of times over a year or more when I'd remove and replace the coil deck. The chimney and vapor chamber turns and comes out with the coil deck. It finally abraded the small o-ring enough to cause leaks. It's also the hardest one to change because it's an inside ring.

Most o-ring materials have good wear resistance.

I went a year to the day before I replaced my o ring and seals. I had a drop of liquid in the catch cup. One of my seals had a tiny tear and the other had some cracks starting. I sure wouldn't let that sway you on a Lemo.

Also disassembled and cleaned every other day during that year as its my Virus tank. Virus is a gunky juice. So approximately 180 times.

I've also dropped it approximately 20 times. Still on the original glass tank. What a piece of crap...glass that doesn't break even when the atty is attached to a Sigelei 100W! It must be defective :)

Then you are cheating yourself. I believe that just about covers every tank ever made.

The Lemo's have 3 seals involved in sealing the tank, just like a Kayfun. One for the top and bottom of the glass tube, and one on the top of the chimney stem. Since I purchased my first Lemo a year ago, and 5 other Lemo's later, I've yet to replace a seal in any of them.

And have I mentioned they've never leaked? ;)

I haven't completely ruled out a Lemo, yet. That's why I talked about perfectly good tanks that leaked because of a worn o-ring.

I have a box full of various tanks that get no use after I discovered Kayfun. It's just too easy to maintain and filling is a piece of cake.

I will say that the original Lemo/Drop was awesome for it's time, I still have my OG Lemo, although it sits on a shelf. But the Lemo 2 was very disappointing. It's not a "bad" tank, but you have much better options available. With that said, I have hopes that the Lemo 3 will be a nice tank, but I think I'm stuck on these "RDTA"s..

I am very familiar with the construction of the Lemo.

Are you suggesting that Eleaf sold you non-conductive metal?

Eleaf didn't sell me anything. Furthermore I didn't buy the Lemo Drop.

Eleaf didn't sell me the Lemo 2 either.
I went out and bought the Lemo 2.

All I am saying is the same thing I have said from the beginning of this thread. Eleaf has quality control issues. Period.

Kayfuns are nice if you have the option to open expand the airflow. I use a Goblin Mini and Kayfun Lite +. With Bell cap.

My Kayfun had two airflow coming in from either side with two airflow adjustment screws on the bottom.

Before I start talking about the Kayfun Lite +; no it doesn't leak.

My Kayfun has a bell cap and works great.

My ONE and ONLY problem with the Kayfun is that it doesn't have post holes, and with my disabled left hsnd; trapping the wire under the screw heads can be a pain in the neck.

So what Percentage of eLeaf Tanks are effected by what you say is Quality Control Issues?

I have no idea what percentage of Lemo tanks have QC issues but one tank is one too many.

I have experience with three Lemo tanks.

    1. The Lemo 2 that leaked like crazy.
    2. The Lemo Drop that current could not get from the positive pin to the coil.
    3. My friend at the vape shop was rocking his Lemo Drop and it was working great.

But for me to encounter two bad Lemo tanks out of three does point to QC Issues.

    ...

OK... But I got some Bad News for You Sunshine.

I've done this e-Cigarette thing for a Long Time. And I Can't Think of a Single Product, by ANY Manufacture, that I haven't Read about somebody having some Problem.

So maybe that "One Tank is Too Many" thing is Unrealistic?

    ;)

Yep. I have a $200 Ataman 2 sitting here that has issues. And my friend got one that is so bad his metal tank just spins on the threads and can't seal.

My Urba came with a mismachined 510 base and couldn't screw into my mods. Thankfully Petar K rectified that.

And we had 3 members in a week get faulty Kayfun 4s.

So even high end authentics are not immune.

I hear you. I just can't Think of ANYTHING that hasn't had a Problem.

But I will say this when it comes to Leaking or 510 Pin Problems.

In about 1/2 of all of these Problems, the user was able to Fix the Problem with the Help and/or Suggestions from Members here on the ECF.

Of course, Most of those People made Threads asking for Help and Suggestions. And were Receptive to Trying Things. Instead of just wanting to Rant like a Child who's toy has been Stepped On.

The Lemo 2 was my first RTA and I haven't had any issues with it as of yet. No leaks and decent clouds. My biggest complaint is that the screws on the deck are too small and you almost have to use the tiny holes for coils. That being said, I have a Goblin on it's way as we speak.

If you think the Lemo 2 has small screws/deck, get ready for that Goblin, lol. But deck size aside, the Goblin is a much better tank.

    I think its cute you either ignored my post or have no retort. But heres mine towards your eleaf has bad QC remarrk;

I went to my local vape shop and showed them this thread. So I said "Can I see 5 of these guys, and see whats goin on" and all 5 got coils in, and fired perfectly, and we used the top fill with 0 leaks. Infact, I was impressed enough to buy one of the 5. Then, we offered to build and fill every lemo 2 and lemo drop that left that store that day (which was a additional 3 from the first 5). All the customers were happy, and no leaks or issues were found with rigorous testing.

idk bout you, but that must be some bad QC to have the first 8 tanks pulled off the shelf to work flawlessly... oh wait =)

Course, you could get a goblin, have a claustrophobic deck and a pain in the rear fill method, but might make you a happier vaper.

my 2 cents on the bit.
