I'm just busting your balls. Looking at the prototypes, it's obvious the Chinese didn't make it, lol. Especially funny since I nicknamed it the "Phallic Steel"

Its 1 thing to show it off, but I get tired of seeing thread after thread or vid after vid of the same damn product. Thus, I tried to keep everything centrally located within the release thread and the vid thread I just made.

No, it won't say "Proudly Made in the USA" on the device, but I was going to put a nice sticker on the shipping box haha

Just make a red white and blue holster for it, that'll do.

Flashlight mod tip was actually already made for it An easy way to test to make sure the end is hott on each unit so we don't have to take a meter or atomizer to it

I would love! to order a Prodigy V1 so i can let you know if it is worth the $139 price tag or not, i have enough money to easily buy both and then some, but the sad fact is i can not because I'm in Australia, and not because of the bans here either, Because Steve only sells his products in the states. It looks like a worthy e-cigarette and worth the cash after seeing Steve's video review of the inner and outer workings of this new device, i wasn't so sure at first if paying that much would be worth it when i first saw that price tag, but it look very nice! and i can see why now after seeing your Vid

I bought the 801 Prodigy...because i believe the atomizers(coils) and carts(liquid capacity) are bigger than my dse901. Am I correct? .

Nice unit but people that thing is way to big.IMO people will buy this and not realize how big it is.I know I have a SD and thought it was big ,but you can hide it in your hand this thing looks alot longer.Think before you buy,where,when,how you will be using this.Is the answer to these ? worth the money.

Well, I've had so many damn issues with my 801 batteries getting flooded, and my atomizers not wicking correctly (tried substitute carts and everything), so I took the plunge. It'll be a little bulky in my pocket when I'm on the go, but so much more convenient, assuming everything works like it's supposed to.

Question: Can you load it up with a few drops of liquid and place it battery side down without it leaking for when you're out and about? I'm guessing not so much or that it depends on the amount of dripping you put in, but I'm curious simply because of convenience issues. Maybe one could put in a cart with liquid in it (but no filler material) and keep it mouth piece side down to keep the liquid in until you use it. Hmmm.

you are certainly correct about the cart being bigger , more than double the size of a standard 901 , the atomizer is certainly bigger in size , but i'm not sure if the actual coil is bigger or not than a 901

I think I'll just chalk most of this thread up to "You can't make everyone happy..."

I just last week finished a battery-box (for the 18650 battery) out of a Altoids box, with a manual switch on the box, and a cable to a battery shell, for the pen style. I LOVE only needing one battery for the entire day, and I like the manual control much better than fighting the pressure switches on each battery change. Although, I am not fearful or ashamed to use my rig, I still ordered one, because I am sure the quality of the Prodigy exceeds my hand-made supply, and now, I already have the batts and charger needed to support it, and no cable to watch out for all the time.

Lastly, I have the power to NOT purchase something if I feel it's too expensive, and I can do so without accusing anyone of being greedy. So thank you Steve, and PureSmoker. Your efforts are appreciated by at least ONE person (and I am very sure more than one.

Time to go and post something mean about the stupid greedy farmers who are keeping the price of steak so high.

I'm a perma-dripper. The only device I use a cart on is my e-cigars, and if they didn't screw in (making it a pain in the ...) I'd drip it too.

It's pretty easy to carry a 3ml (or in my case, 6ml) bottle of juice for dripping on the run.

You answered my question perfectly. I think I'm going to lean towards being primarily a dripper once I get the Prodigy in my hands.

I think the day will come, and hopefully not too far off, when there will be so many people vaping and the majority of the PV's will be like the Prodigy and the SD that concerns about appearance will be viewed in a much different light. Those of us with the SD and Prodigy will proudly be the forerunners of the future.

i just "top off" and don't really drip to the atomizer, but i know there's a definite taste when you're low on juice from a cart, and is that the same taste you're looking for when dripping straight to the atty, as to know when to add more?

I use a dummy mouthpiece. Oh yeah, you know when to drip more. The taste becomes more... acrid is the only word I can think of. I've also been known to vape 'straight off the tail pipe' if I've lost the mouthpiece without another one handy.

I drip 2-3 drops onto the atty and vape it until it turns sour. It's about the equivalent of one analog, and I don't have to worry about it leaking (there isn't much left in it at that point).

I just started dripping yesterday ... day before ? *shrugs* .. I've always used carts, but getting ready for my Prodigy figured I could at least get this drip thing down ... and I gotta tell ya .. I love it !!! wayyyyy better .. flavor .. vapor .. less mess .. no carts to screw with ... yep, yep .. is a good thing ... and like Walrus just said .. you'll know when you need more juice ...
