I'm not saying anyone should spend THEIR money one way or the other, do what you want. I was just thinking out loud I guess after reading a bunch of threads about slow shipping/bad cust service. Personally, if I want something I save to get what I want. If I need a new car, I'm going to save to buy something quality, not buy bicycle instead.
This thread was not intended to be a flame war, argument starter. I just wondered if others agree with me.

I cringe when I see a mod for sale for twice its original price. Then I realize that this is a hobby to a lot of folks, like trading cards or anything else that is considered collectible, and that highly sought after items go for whatever someone who just has to have one will pay for it...it almost makes some kind of sense when you look at it that way.....lol

I may have come off a bit strong with my initial reply, but I didn't really mean to sound as bad as it may have. It's just that this has been discussed over and over, ad nauseum...between places like Joyetech and Innokin engaging price setting policy and blacklisting vendors who try to sell at a more realistic and competitive price point to manufacturers who make pretty battery tubes and price them beyond the reach of a typical enthusiast, the arguments against inexpensive clones falls on deaf ears...or in this case, gets some folks stirred up...lol

I hate to stir the pot but I will anyway. This is a Forum. There are a lot of topics that get beat to death. I don't like to see it either. Having said that, I don't think these responses are called for either. I am glad that the OP stands for something. I also think he is entitled to his mature opinion. Thanks for posting OP. Thank you for being a supporting member too!!! Nothing like discouraging a member from starting a thread!

I have been a retail business owner. Suggested prices go on in every kind of retail. Frankly, it protects the little guy. Not everyone can do the volume of business of a Walmart.

ill go along with what u say. i think there should be something for everyone rich or poor to enjoy. life will never be fare and most people will never treat each other right. i dont like the fact that my pv2 clone has the grand vapor logo on it, but its just another reminder of the fact that i still live in a world full of people that will never be the way it really should be! but at least i can still have something that works. the quality is by no means there, but it does work. welcome to the third planet from the sun, at no time should u expect anythind to be fare during ur trip! if u do please exit now!

Geez. Its a tank with a wick and coil connected to a battery with a circuit to keep it from melting down.

I appreciate the originals effort and cleverness but its not like they perfected cold fusion.

I wonder how the OP likes his Mercedes Benz as Karl Benz is largely attributed to inventing the automobile so technically Ford and Chevy and everything else would be considered clones wouldn't they?

Suggested prices are one thing but when it turns into enforced pricing, many people get a bit annoyed.

I don't mind the pictures and off topic random replies. I have a sense of humor. I just wanted to state MY opinion as the title obviously says. I also didn't want to bash or offend anyone. People can do what they want, buy what they want, spend money wherever they want. I just like my money to go to a US vendor. This economy sucks. Small businesses can use every cent they can get. If I buy a legit version of something from a US vendor, the original manufacturer gets his share, the vendor gets his share, and I get a quality product. If I buy a clone, all the money goes to someone who stole an idea, and who knows what kind of product I will get, or when I'll get it.

Everyone has their own interests in mind...I agree with what you're saying, but consumers have their own interests in mind too...and it often starts and ends at their wallet...for example, set pricing for an Innokin 134 at $169 bucks? That is ridiculous. It's not even an American made mod. Blacklisting a vendor for selling it for less? All that is being protected is a big markup...

I totally agree with OP Tony_B, It`s kind of a culture for most people buying clones "Piracy" from a "certain vendor" while people can buy genuine products with a pair of dollars more, I`m totally sure it wouldnt affect the economy of anyone taking note that smoking its far more expensive than e-cigs in most cases.

Buying cheap clones is buying twice or triple the same product for the lack of QC.
