Back in the day when I was young I'm not a kid anymore but some days I wish I was a kid again.
I remember in 2009 buying an ecig and having all those disgusting carts that leaked everywhere. I was on this forum trying to figure stuff out and it was just too much. I went back to smoking because I kept getting sick from the e-cig (so I thought). Now I am doing great with my MVP and evods etc. SOOOOO much better now. I figured out why I kept getting sick too, VG sensitivity. Anything over 20VG I'm sick. I didn't know that back then and kept using VG exclusively. I'm so impressed with how far we've come and how now I am a non smoker. I love technology. (I remember those dang pyramid tea bags too)

I actually had one of them. Lasted about 2 months and then the head/connector area broke.

The bag itself was used instead of the filler inside 510 cartridges. The factory filler never lasted very long so the tea bags were used.
I remember that First Time I saw that Mod, someone asked what it was for. I told them it was for Vaping around Corners.

We would take the foam out of the cart, and then fold up an empty Lipton tea bag to use as the filler in the cart.
So ya see ..... it really was all about the price of tea in China.
All you people with the weanie 510 and 901s, the carts only held like .5 or .6 ml, I got a DSE801 because the carts held a whole 1.2ml. With my 801 I didn't have to mod my carts and MY batt was a whole 320mAh compared to the 510 and 901 at 280mAh.My first mod was a Janty Stick, then a Prodigy (WOW 5V) and then a Silver Bullet, all with a 801 connection. Now I'm sitting here with a mech mod that has an 18650, 3400mAh in it with a 5ml carto tank on top, boy things sure got easier.

Iffy, that was Mike's personal mod he used all the time. I'm glad it's it good hands because you just don't see them there beasts now-a-days.
Yeppers, the straw mod. Clipped a piece of stirring straw and slid it up the side of the filler so no air pocket would form to stop the juice from dropping down. I never got it to work right...LOL.
For those curious 'bout these archaic foreign words/phrases, just do an ECF search fer 'em and skip allll da way back to da older threads! It'll keep ya busy for... ummm, several years.

Here's another question that was repeatedly ask...what's the difference between pg and vg? I don't think I could count high enough for all the times I/we answered that question.
Here is a picture of my 510 cartridge with TWO springs in it for a hardcore spring mod...
The springs "rested" on the little ledge inside the 510 cartridge.
The you would place just a small piece of polyfil or blue foam on top of the springs.
Other people were using one spring from a pen, but I went out and found these tiny springs on the interweb.
I then proceeded to use this modification for about one week before trying something else.
It seemed as soon as one new modification surfaced and we tried it, usually within a week, there was a newer "more improved" modification that flooded the forum, (or the device you were using the new modification on)!!!
