Awesome!!!!! I think...

I can hardly see them. We need close ups, Mr. DeMille.

If (IF) I were to start a thread with the idea of showing off "retro" vape gear, would any of you be in? Would ya post pics? We'd have to limit "retro" to being prior to 2013... sound like an idea who's time has come?

If not, please say nothing. You'll shatter my fragile ego... ;)

If you click on it, you see a bigger version, but still not big enough - it wouldn't let me upload the original, so I had to resize it. Can anyone tell me how to post large pics while adhering to the file size limit? I know it's possible cause there are plenty of big, clear pics on this forum:confused:

My pic is of the paraphernalia a run-of-the-mill vaper amassed in the 2010 vaping world - the stuff I needed to make my ecigs work. I didn't include all my old batts or chargers or the box of PIF juice or the giant box of empty bottles I bought in bulk (for DIY juice and sharing on PIF) or the stuff I used to try to clean attomizers:facepalm: The pouch I actually carried around back then contained multiple batteries, assorted adapters, multiple atomizers, multiple cartridges prepared with whatever filler I was trying and filled with juice, an unfolded paperclip, paper towels, chargers, and juice. It was a part time job!

Today I take 2 batts with tanks on each and an extra bottle of juice:).

I'd love to see other pics, Katdarling - on this thread or a new one!

Best bet, IMO, is to use a third-party image locker such as imgur.com or photobucket.com, then post the links for the photos you want in your post (the BB Code links, not HTML). :)

Welp, dhowardpeters, your old vape pouch sounds about like my current one! Altho, I've paired it down to just 5 devices and a few bottles of vliquid, and extra drip tips for that inevitable person who wants to try my vape. And yes yes yes, the almighty paperclip! I used to make up starter kits for people and always included one!

I've got a question for the old timers. When was the first occurrence of the term "juice" for vliquid (eliquid)? Do any of you recall that happening?

It must have been pretty much from the beginning because it was already being called juice when I started vaping in 09

Who could forget the infamous Taryn spin method that revolutionized how we filled our carto's lickity split. :D
A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin. - YouTube

Or Pete54's famous BFD (Blue Foam dart) mod.
I still have some of that stuff kicking around some place. Ya never know when the next mod technique will call for it.

Ahhh yes... good times indeed. :vapor:

Back then if someone told me I would be sucking on a $300 set-up (Provari and DiD) someday using stainless steel cable and SS mesh I would have laughed in their face.:facepalm:

Why, I remember back in the day... uh... well actually I only just got into this about six weeks ago so I guess I don't really have much perspective on the evolution of my new beloved hobby. I'm sure there's plenty to come, though.

I started on a 1300mah fixed voltage eGo battery with a Smok Tumbler BCC, evolved to the iTaste VV 3.0 / Kanger Mini Protank 2 and am now using an iTaste SVD with an iClear i30 and looking to get into RBAs. In retrospect it's been a pretty rapid crash course in vaping.

Personally I've never liked the term "juice". It for some reason sounds like a drug term . I'm not criticizing anyone for using it but don't myself. I just call it liquid.

I remember drip tips!!! They were rated on how well the hole in the center would be able to deliver the drops of juice to your atomizer. Now everything is about the material they are made of, shape and length.... I would hazard a guess that most drip tips in circulation today have never been used for dripping....
That would be a good guess. I remove my drip tip when I'm dripping. I just use it so I don't burn my lips!:)(Remember "tailpiping"?) They actually were a great improvement over the smaller tips that we used with attys and cartos. Made for a much easier draw with the larger openings.

    :)Wiz!
