Speaking of old-school starter kits. There's one I've always wanted to buy even though it is old-school and probably totally useless. Why? Why on earth would I want to do that? Because, according to my sources, it's the smallest e-cig ever made at only 84 mm (the same size as a regular cigarette, not a 100). IOW, it's cute and a novelty.

And, they still sell it here: 084C2 Starter Kit

If it were in the US, I might even consider it. It's cute, and it's so old that it's almost a collector's item.

No, I still wouldn't. Not unless I won the lottery and could afford to collect things just for the sake of collecting. Someone else is going to have to be the guinea pig on this one.

Here's my contribution....Gamucci Electronic Cigarettes

My first ecig was a gamucci, it's from the E/U....paid big money to get it. I saw the ecig on a tv news show like 60 minutes and ordered it the next day.
Aren't you the guy with the atomizer cleaning thread?

Talk about remembering back in the day...
You are the reason I use Crest Pro Health mouthwash now.

I don't use it for cleaning my atomizers, but yeah, that is some good stuff for your teeth and gums!

Is DawnBella aware of this? She seems to be the queen of the micro e-cigs these days.

I found an interesting post on the archived ECF forum 08-23-2008 that was posted by Gunny. He said back then that 1 amp of power was quite a lot of power.

Just shows you how advanced the vaping community has become !!

Some electrical facts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are planning to build a better battery, here are some things you might find helpful.

This is a perfectly valid idea, as long as you stop with increased mAh. Once you start increasing voltage it becomes a new ball game. mAh refers to how long a battery will last given a specific load.

You increase the voltage and at the small values you are working with, it would be akin to applying 12v to a 6v light bulb. It would work better than ever for probably just a little under 1 second & then dead for ever.

Just took some measurements on what I think is an "Original Classic" (Epuffer) Atomizer.

The heating coil is a 4 ohm resister wire. And assuming a 3.65 V battery, that means every time you engage the battery by puffing, 0.9125 amps passes through the wire.

I have measured NJoy Pen Style Atomizer with 3.8 ohm resister wire. That means every time you engage the battery by puffing, 0.96 amps passes through the wire. If this is typical, it might be responsible for more frequent burnouts.

All things considered, 1 amp is quite a lot of power.
It's no wonder the battery goes dead so fast and the atomizer blows so easily.

For those that are not familiar with Ohm's Law, the formula that applies here is volts/resistance=current(amps).

Thus 3.65v/4Ω=0.9125amps.

Those are the facts.

Hey, my first business computer had a huge 20 mb (actually two 10 mb) hard drive. But then, I am older than dirt.

I had NEVER seen ANYONE vaping anything, and I will never forget when I saw a guy suckin' on a Darwin, blowing CLOUDS inside a small retail establishment about 2 years ago (my very FIRST encounter with and exposure to anyone vaping an ecig.....). I rarely would say anything, but it was so unbelievable seeing the clouds and all that metal "gear" that I just blurted out, "What the HELL is all all that metal plumbing you're sucking on??? What are those CLOUDS???"

The guy had a very good reason to avoid me, but being the good sport, he just chuckled and explained what it was. I ended up talking to him for about 20 minutes. He directed me to Nhaler.com here in New Jersey, and I started reading. I eventually bought a Blu-cig starter kit to just try after thinking about all the info the guy gave me. The rest, as they say, is history. :vapor:
