Yeah, well the Chuck is pretty old school by today's standards. I remember when the custom wrap was announced. I was seriously looking at getting one. Ended up with a Mako Midi, which I still use, though not as often as my K100.





That's one piece of lingo I haven't picked up on. See it threads about the kayfun too.






I posted that in a thread back in 2010. I still use that box. Has different stuff in it now.

I think you're right! I never bought any because I had so many dead batts to salvage. It was really ridiculous how all the devices had different threading. Life could have been so much easier. Then we bought all the adaptors that didn't last...
I'm glad the 510 finally became standard but it wasn't the best choice.

I'm glad I started "using electronic cigarettes" when I did.
Yeah, I hate the term "vaping" even if Oxford has accepted it.
From my first Njoy Pro that I had to mod with a portable phone battery to stay off of analogs... them the 401, 901, 801, and finally seccumed to the 510
Who would have thought that we would expect batteries to to accommodate the demands of our individual atomizers.
I wish someone would do a timeline of the ECF Modder's Forum. Everything we have now started there, and atomizers were last on the list. Who remembers the Fang?
Everything was 3.4 ohm. The goal was battery life and then power.
Then came box mods, low ohm attys, regulators, mosfets, potentiometers, variable voltage, touch switches, top feed, bottom feed, batt explosions, venting requirements...............

Ahhh, I am loving this Egrip. Finally. This could have been done years ago.

Back then we found that PWM mods hit harder at the same voltage settings as other regulators and nobody considered it a problem, it was a sought after feature.

That was shortly after the time I drifted away. All I wanted was a small form factor and extended batt life. The extras were just making things bigger... Things I didn't want to bother to learn about. It's amazing how fast and far things moved. I kind of wish the Chinese had refined the Nicostick then. We could have had a non-vv istick in 2010! Even the Egrip could have been done then.
