Hi vpr2go,
I installed the gadget, right clicked the desktop (Win7) clicked gadgets but it's not showing up???
I also placed the gadget min the app/.../../ gadgets folder.

Any ideas why it isn't showing up??

Cheers,

Maxy

Hmmmm....... I sent over an installable version of it to your email. Click the download link on it and double click on the file once its downloaded to your computer. Once the install dialog shows up click install. It should automatically install it to your gadgets area. . Right click desktop and click gadget. Should be there.

Let me know if this doesn't help.

no....I would like it ported to linux. I can try using wine. I will play with it tonight. I am by no means good at programming though.

OIC. Understand That. Okay so we need to get This ported to not only to Google Desktop but also to Linux desktop. I know that the KDE enviornment supports gadgets, though, I do not know if debian does. Research... Research... Research.... At this point I need to get some extra help. So this is a call going out to all ECF Users... I need some help getting this ported to other Os's!! If you would like to help with this project and you have skills coding. Please either hit me up here or hit me up at my posted email.

Happy vaping!!

Sorry, I'm useless.

While not strictly a techno-phobe, I also chose Linux Mint specifically because I'm not required to mess with programming or the terminal at all. But, I'm using the GNOME version, Release 9 if that helps anyone. I am not sure whether desktop widgets are supported - I've never tried to add any. I know they are on KDE though.

If someone figures out how to make this that'd be cool. :)

Wish I could help with the google gadget but I'm computer illiterate! Good luck with it though.
