Best might not equal most economical. I suppose that depends on what features you would like to have.

What other features besides VV have you considered? Are you looking for a tube mod or a box? Do you already own batteries and a charger that might fit the purpose for your next purchase? Do you have a budget in mind?

Though I respect everyones opinion, it has been my experiences especially with e-cigs, go big the first time and save yourself the hassle and money. Not to mention the enhanced Vaping experience you could achieve. Myself, the progression has went from a basic e-cig, to an Ego, to now a Provari, if I had went with the Provari in the beginning, I could have saved myself a couple hundred bucks, bottom line, you get what you pay for. Not to say you cannot have a good Vaping experience on a more budget friendly mod, but sooner or later most will want to move forward, skip that step and start on top. Best of luck with your decision.

The Saber Touch VV blows provari out of the water. Not used a darwin, so can't speak for that one but I do know I'm not a fan of the whole side thing as I think it's awkward. The Saber Touch VV mod is the most dependable mod out there, and I cannot stress enough how great it is. You can get one for cheaper than a provari, too.

As for the economical, either the Saber or the Lavatube. I do not like the lavatube one bit, but it IS a little cheaper.

This message has been brought to you by Saber.. Saber, the Provari wets itself in its presence.

I too am going to throw out a shameless plug for the Buzz. I haven't used the Buzz Pro, but I've got 2 buzz classics and although I didn't think it was possible, they apparently have made it even better! The guys at notcigs.com are great, they take good care of their customers and the quality of their products is first rate. Now Buzz Off!

Technologically, my Darwin has no equal; dialing in a specific wattage, then seeing the other numbers fall into place around it has a huge gee-whiz factor associated with it. And the battery life is incredible.

The form factor is problematic, however. It's unstable when stood upright on a desktop, and rides in my shirt pocket like a cinder block. The worst is that it isn't especially dripping-friendly, as no provision is made for spills. I'm quite the messy dripper, and at $230, I'm afraid to use anything but a cartomizer with it.

Not so with my Buzz Pro, Buzz Classic and first-generation Infinity. All three have a role in my vaping routine, and have been problem-free. Also, of no small consequence are their protection circuits independent of the batteries'—something to consider in these post-exploding Florida mod days.

I'm going the economical way. I have a Foxy Box Mod VV, it is a black plastic box, very inexpensive and well built. Mine works great and is a good starter or I may just keep it because it gives me that great perfect vape every time till the batteries die. It evan fits in my shrit pocket with no problem. Just my opinion.

Having spent a ridiculous amount of money on different types of devices, I'm with Square1 on this. Go big by spending the money for the ProVari and, in turn, it will be economical because it will be the last device you need to buy.

I don't agree with that...my first e-cig was a cheap 510 kit, then a Provari...and now all I can think about is getting a backup provari...I mean what else do you back up a provari with, but another provari...

I bought a Lavatube, and should have just got the Provari on the first shot. I'm a sucker for made in America gear, and the V2 out performs the LT. IMO if its feasible, save up and get the provari.

Same here with the LT. I try to think of it as a positive buying other stuff. Now we'll appreciate the high end stuff because we know how the lesser quality products work. I mean if we start with a provari we have nothing to compare it to.
