Do you think they might add some resistance to to coil?

I dn't think it will increase resistance at all. If anything they will further lower resistance because of the more solid connection. One thing I have noticed with kanthal and silver over the last 6 months is that if the connection is not rock solid, the resistance will fluctuate wildly. I haves coil on my iAtty now that I can measure on the provari from 1.5 ohm to as high as 5.5 ohm. Tis should be eliminated with the crimp tubes the same way it was eliminated by using threaded rod and nuts to secure the kanthal on my hybrid mini.

Ok, now I'll need to hunt down all the links to places to get all the gear needed to try this out on my IAtty... But to use with my SS-GGTS... I'll have to really work the voltage issue though as I've gotten quite use to 6v... maybe just 1 3.7v cr123???

Since you have the freedom of making the coils with as little or as much resistance as you like, you can just add more coils and make it 3 ohms or more for 6v madness ;). It works quite well, just be careful not to wear through the oxidation on the mesh while inserting it into the ceramic. If the coil shorts on the mesh, your resistance will go very very low (like .8 to .5 ohm). When this happens, it turns the whole wick between the 2 leads in a heating coil with a very high wattage for vaping. It can easily blow a poor quality battery, although I must admit, it vapes awesome like this and looks really cool because the whole mesh between the connections will glow red right away without ALOT of airflow.

Keep in mind I do not suggest doing this on purpose because it is dangerous. The battery can explode and the shorted coil can very easily get hot enough to ignite your juice and turn your iAtty into a mini torch.

Well that's all I need to hear. I like to tinker....but....

Would the GGTS Fuse Protection safe guard against a shorted coil?

I just set up my first iatty, I was out of town for three week and was dying to get home to it!
It must be beginers luck couse I'm noob at this DIY attys, but WOW I'm more than
happy, tones of vapor, great taste, everything is perfect and I don't even have multimeter
And when i think i was thinking I'm not gonna need it :facepalm::facepalm:

Lol, yes it will protect against a shorted coil. That is what it is designed for ;)

Not Lol'ing at anyone in particular, just I happened to get home from work just in time to see this and reply to it.

I think it should, maybe Zor can chime in with the definitive answer

Don't rule out themeshcompany because it's a UK site, they actually shipped really fast.

True, true. From everyone's feedback on here, I think I will order from themeshcompany still- 2 free sheets? Yes! just posting the US link in case:)

Mosh, I would think it is the same stuff, 400x400 is basically threads per inch and it is made of the same SS 304.

Thanks Zor, good to know!:)
