Ok, I read all these posts and others with the iAtty.

Got my iAtty yesterday, tried late last night to make a coil and while it worked, it was sloppy so I created a new one today.

It worked, metered around 1.7ohm but currently only have a device that goes 4.3 or higher but did test and it worked and was great. So I just took it off and set it aside and then the leak began...:(

It started slowly leaking from the bottom connector and I could hear the gurgle, so I blew out from the connection end so the excess came out of the mouthpiece and seemed to fix it as I tested again and it worked fine so I took it off, set it aside and the leak began again.

I read through this entire thread as well as all the leak fix threads.

The Non-Resistance wire was not in the threads and was flush against the plastic and was put on in the same way the threads screw on so don't think that is the issue.

Now when I got the O-rings, it was kinda confusing. I got the two small fat ones, two ever so slightly bigger fat ones, one that is fairly larger thick one and then one that is the same size and the ever so slightly smallest fat oring. So I took the smallest fat one and one ever so slightly bigger and put the smaller one on first to the cup, then the next one. It was very very tight when I put the ceramic cup in the plastic cap, but it went in flush and doesn't show any o-rings sticking out. The other larger fat oring I put in the mouthpiece area. I got this from the 1st run from COV and the fixed oring package was also sent to me. The only out of the ordinary oring is the one that was initially in the mouthpiece (see pic below). It is thinner, so I removed that and used the largest of the small fat orings there.

Everything was tight and also the cone was all the way screwed down and the wicks were not in any of the threading. The excess of the non-resistance wires, I clipped and were within the gaps on the plastics.

So, am I missing something?

I was going to get a SS GGTS since I figured the collection tank would take care of any possible leaking as well as since these ohms are initially lower, it might be best but missed out on the last one.

The below pic shows the O-rings I referenced above, the picture might be upside down, if you click on the pic it should be the way I explain below.

The 1st and 2nd one are the ones I used in the ceramic cup in that order. The smaller one first and the larger one next.

The 3rd one is the one I used on the mouthpiece.

The 4th one is what was originally used in the mouthpiece or what came in the mouthpiece. That one is the thinnest of any orings I have.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds about right on the o rings The one for the mouthpiece is a bit larget and the thickest the first onto the ceramic is tiny and should just bairly fit. I did have a little leakage but it pretty much stopped when I did this.

It will still leak a very small amount usually when lest alone overnight but I am thinking it is due to pressure changes more then anything else.

I think that maybe it could be a combination of two things: too much juice / the cone is too much opened / unscrewed, so the liquid goes to the bottom connector through the ceramic cup.

Try to screw the cone all the way down.

The cone is all the way down, sorry U thought I mentioned that, my bad but thanks.

Will try that but what sizes are they?

I have spare iAtty orings or the ones I showed in the picture I posted, will they work and which ones go where?

Thanks again for any help and to eyebrook for possible solution.

England now Spain
Ed I only use 1 O ring now instead of 2, It has to be thick enough to block the air gap between the centre post and the Iatty connector, and tight on the centre post as well, I dont think its a fluid seal, its more an air seal as Fright said I think, anyway I have a box of micro O rings and I tried them till I found one that worked, hope this helps

Thanks and thanks eyebrook.

For just the one you use now, does it go on plastic or metal end (top or bottom plastic cap?

When you do this does this just slow down or fully stop your leaks?

Also, having trouble picturing it but how does the connection still get made with the wire being blocked by orings?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

maybe by putting an o-ring around the neck of the lower plastic will have the same effect as the one eye suggested ED. So put a 10/1 o-ring there and check again. But be sure that if you hear a gurgling sound then Iatty is overflooded and the leakage is from there.

Thanks my friend, I have it ready to go but currently the device I have only goes from 4.3 and up, so will try again either when I can get a GG from COV or my other VV device comes in :)

Good news is that I tweaked my coil after I did 1st test and now it actually resembles a coil from a regular CE2 LOL When I did try it, great flavor just a little too harsh, even for me, using 1.7 ohm at 4.3 volts but killer throat hit:)

Take care and thanks for the help,
