Is there a consensus as to which Reomizer is the best? I know that sort of thing is subjective but I'm gonna go ahead and order a REO and I'm trying to decide on which atty to include. I searched this forum for posts about it but the opinions seem pretty divided. I'm more after flavor than clouds but I still want a reasonable amount of vapor as well. I had the RM4 in the cart but now I'm thinking maybe the 3 is a better buy. Seems more gear toward flavor although most comments suggest to drill out the airhole and I've never done that. Don't want to ruin my first BF atty. Oh and another question while I'm at it, what's the deal with button mashing?

Which atty depends mostly on your vape style. If you want dual coil (more vapor) then go that route, if you Mouth-to-Lung, rather than direct to lung, let that help make the decision (direct will need adjustable airflow or larger hole). I've only used the RM2 (well suited for MTL vaping, single coil) and an Odin (well suited for dual coil, direct to lung vaping), so someone can advise you on which specific one you'd want.

Button Mashing: The fire button on a REO requires a surprisingly light touch only. Some folks tend to mash it hard, even harder as the battery voltage drops. It's also easier to over do it with the button covers, but they also make it easier to rotate the button to lock/unlock it.

I only use the RM2. I have about a dozen of them. They have a ceramic deck so I don't have to worry about touching the deck with my coil and getting a short. There is so much flavor that I had to reduce the % in my DIY. If you want a larger air hole on the RM2 it is quite easy to do. But I like the stock air hole.

Button mashing is what some people do when they first get their REO. The firing button needs only a little pressure to connect to the firing contact and the battery. It helps to hold your REO up to your ear and lightly and slowly push the button down till it fires. That will let you know quickly how easy it needs to be pressed. Prolonged button mashing can break or ruin your contact. Battery length determines the button push also. Best to test when using different batteries and make sure you are not mashing!

Granted, I never used the reomizers so someone will have to help you better jhhollier. I see with the RM3 flavor could be good, but at the same time what kind of vape to you like? Lung inhale? Mouth to lung?

I think the rm3 would be strictly mouth to lung since it looks like a airholes. but again I've never used them so I may be an idiot on this subject for reomizers.

As far as button mashing, I always took it as people use excessive force on the fire button. It doesn't take much pressure to get your Reo to fire, but like my dad for example. He pushes the fire button on mine like he's trying to push dowel in to a hole. I see more people have a problem on flat tops, but I may be wrong on that one too. A gentle push is all you need. You'll get the same vape from a gentle push or a hard push of the button.

I tend to mouth to lung more than straight lung inhales.

Got it on the button mashing. I'll take the advice given and start off as easy as I can until I get a feel for it I guess. I just didn't realize this was an issue until I was reading through threads looking for info on the Reomizers. Thanks again folks! I know I've been asking a lot of questions and I appreciate all the thoughts/advice.

Well, order placed! Went with the black wrinkle/kawasaki green LP/SL grand and the RM3 atty. Added in some bottle o-rings, an extra spring and a delrin button cover. Now the wait begins... Thanks again all, I'll have to stop by Reoville more often.

Stop by?? Uhmmm.......you live here now!! lol When it gets there don't forget to get on the reo roll call
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/217670-reo-roll-call.html

be sure to cut an inverted V in the bottom of the tube so it doesn't suction to the bottle.

since you got a button cover, check out this thread to help prevent button mashing.

and welcome to the family!!!

Just a quick follow up on the button mashing. When you get it set up, hold it up to your ear and gently press the fire button until you hear a sizzle. THAT's how hard you need to press and no more. Pressing any harder doesn't change the vape you get, it's an electrical connection :)

And as has been mentioned, when it arrives, pics or it didn't happen :)

My first Reo LP gets here tomorrow as well -- and I have a couple questions:

The recommended batteries (I ordered two) will probably not get to me before the Reo does. I have several healthy regular 18650 IMR 2500mah batteries. Can I use one of them in the interim?

If not, I can wait. Not worth it to chance it.

Second question: What should I do with my Reo upon opening the package? Should I inspect for anything in particular (NOT to doubt Rob's craftsmanship!!) Is there a "breaking in" period? Any certain order of procedure for inserting battery, building coil/wick, and attaching RDA onto the device?

Thank y'all! I am so excited. This is going to be a shot in the arm for a new device. I happened to pick up (oops!) a gold Sigelei 30watt today because it's so cute...but it's only because I have G.A.S. Really hoping beyond hope I become addicted to Reos due to the high-quality and longevity.
