Just a quick question for you guys! I am considering another REO, this time a mini. The mini doesn't have the upgraded SS 510. So my question is, is the upgraded 510 an absolute must? It is a good deal but I am new to this so I don't know if the original 510 is ok to use! Any advice would be great!

I have over 50 REO's. NONE have the new 510. ALL work perfect! I run a RM2 with a 1.01 ohm coil. You don't HAVE to get the new 510. However if you want a old 510 can be sent to Robert to be replaced with a new 510.

I am old school, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have three Grands with the old 510 and one with the new 510. They all work fine.

The difference the new stainless steel 510 makes is that it has an adjustable pin so you can adjust the atty to a certain height and it possition in a tight possition so the air hole on a rba is right where you want it on the mod. the threads are obviously stronger so if you drop the mod and it lands perfectly on the atty (happend to me 3 times in 4 years) you should not bend the threads on the connector saving your mod from a trip in to reosmods for a replacement connector.

I've dropped my mods prob 50 times even though I'm carefull. :)

Also it's less prob to leak and also allows the user to change the possitive contact themselves by buying extra possitive contacts at reosmods if needed.

One can add orings under there atty to change the possition of the attys air hole which you usually want it facing up when you go to take a hit off a rba.

Rob would be happy to change out your 510 connector if you choose to do so even if you bought it second had for a fee.

Really no biggy..

Thanks guys! You set my mind at ease. But I am full of questions! Pros and cons of the mini 14500 vs the LP mini 2.1. Any thoughts or preferences?

Oops I waited too long! Just checked and that Reo mini sold! But I still would like your thoughts before another great deal gets past me!

I only have the mini 2.1 (not LP), so can't compare with the mini 14500. But compared to a grand the mini 2.1 is like half of everything. Half the battery power. Half the juice capacity (3ml vs 6ml). Not quite half the size, but significantly smaller. Not sure how helpful this is, but I have both and I love them both. The mini just feels right sometimes, but I tend to treat it more as an in house mod since it can't carry as much juice.

Last word from Robert it will be about 5 weeks till the Mini (14500) are back on site! He is doing a small run. The LP version will be offered. The very first time the Mini is done LP. I love my Mini's! They are not much bigger than a Zippo lighter. Very stealthy but can run a RBA like a beast!

I have owned 2 Original Mini's, a Mini 2.1, a Woodvil Mini and a18490 Woodvil. I sold them all because I prefer the Grand.
My memories of these are; The 18490 lasted longer and slightly out preformed the 14500. Also, the Original Mini 2.1 accommodated the RM2. The original Mini did not, I had to request a special one from Rob to fit the 14500 mini. These were made a year to three years ago, you should email Rob to inquire what changes have been made to the newer Mini's and Mini 2.1's.
On an overnight run, I would have to take several spare batteries for each, the mini and the 2.1. The battery and bottle size of the Grand was way more convenient for me personally.

Are the new woodvil's going to have a flat top, or will they have the raised 510 that I've seen on other woodvils?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Rob has stated that the new Woodvil will have a lowered 510 connector, a mechanical switch, and the newer contacts.
