Now where have I heard that before?

Years??? I've only been vaping since Jan 31, '14! Geez almost a year now, whaddya know.
I don't care if it's wrong; it works for me. Which has a lot more to do with the WTA than the danged ol mod or atty! The kayfun just makes sure it tastes good and gives me good TH, so it's a great substitute for coffin nails.
I really have no earthly idea why anyone would want to vape at 20w, nevermind 200w -- I'll save 200w for my computer's power supply! For a freaking lightbulb, 100w is so bright it nearly blinds you!
The "whipped cream" I meant is that cloud of vapor that sub-ohmers seem so attached to -- if I tried to inhale anything like that, good lord, instant asthma attack. Vapor really doesn't need to be any thicker than cigarette smoke, to be effective, and not once in 39 yrs did I ever exhale any cigarette smoke that resembled whipped cream.

The point is, vaping cannot be made completely safe, and we cannot eliminate every risk in life, but we can all do ourselves a HUGE favor and take a big step towards much healthier vaping by choosing devices with temperature limiting.
Or we can play ostrich, like we did with cigarettes!
Most of us here quit smoking and went to vaping to keep from killing ourselves with analog cigs. But now we are finding out that the high temps associated with sub-ohming, high wattage, and just vaping in general not only can sometimes produce a burnt taste or a dry hit, but these temperatures cause cancer and cause your wicking, wire and juice to become toxic and carcinogenic.
Fortunately we have the new Evolv DNA 40 chipset based mods, which allow you to set a safe temp limit, so you are not toxifying your juice, wicking or wire, things that can start happening at temps as low as 410° F (210° C.)
So apparently, the mods that are safe for your health are:
Vaporshark rDNA 40 -- $189
Hana V3 DNA 40 -- $250
Vapor Flask V2.1 (DNA 40) -- $299
and a couple of others much more rarely seen models, for a total of perhaps 5 or so you can buy right now.
Interesting. By calling somone "insecure", wouldn't that be considered an insult? And according to you, if you insult someone, it is because you are insecure. Soooo....does this mean you are insecure as well? What a paradox!remember what I said about the amount someone throws insults is directly proportional to their insecurity level? - dude, your insecurity is off the chart!
what could possibly be so bad in your life to elicit such an ugly abusive reply?
Watch what you ask for! My friend and working partner died in his sleep last Saturday at 52 years young. He did not even know he was sick. We were out working the day before. Never said anything to his wife about not feeling well either.
I've not spent over $45 ( my first MVP, ver. 1) on any mod. And I'm very happy with what I have. Even if I win the Powerball tonight, I wouldn't run out and start buying DNA40s or 100W anythings, just don't need or want the high power. My kayfuns work brilliantly and I like running them at 9 to 10 watts. At that range, I'm not burning anything. I've tried them higher, and it's not for me.
The sensationalist headline on this thread is just rubbish. Keep your wicks wet, vape moderate power, don't worry and BE HAPPY!!
I dry-burn my coils at 10W. They get nice and orange, which is somewhere around 2000 degrees F. Even with a wet wick, insufficient air-flow will lead to a spike in temperature. See PBusardo's interview with Brandon.

Notice that the coil doesn't start glowing until it's twice the maximum temperature that Evolv allow the DNA 40 to produce.
One of the questions that Dr F is studying, is whether the dry-burn taste occurs before or after the noxious chemicals are produced. I think I can taste anything that might be bad, but that's not proven yet. Until it is, the absence of a dry-burn taste is not proof of anything.

burned bacon is a known carcinogenShould I worry about burning my bacon too? Will this kill me if I eat it or am I safe?
Actually yes! - the dangers of eating potato chips and other fried food and the dangerous chemicals formed when they are fried are well known in the scientific community, just not by the masses.
You cannot go with majority opinion on health/safety concerns, you have to go with science. Just look at how the masses mocked climate change, and yet now every reputable scientist worldwide admits it is here AND WE CAUSED IT...........ugh!
My primary hobby is pinching pennies till they squeal for mercy, then pinching 'em some more.
burned bacon is a known carcinogen
there is enough in life that is hazardous that we cannot control, might as well avoid what we can control
reminds me of people who are always spraying pesticides every time they see a bug, rather than researching and using something completely natural and food grade like diatomaceous earth - then these same people are somehow surprised when they get a cancer diagnosis or other health issues![]()
