If you're looking for something compact, do NOT pass on the Coilart Salt

What's been driving me nuts is I've recently entered into this weird 'wanting to go retro vaping' vibe.
I would really chase down a Dicodes Telegonos or Tiny if the tanks would just match up!
Telegonos = 17mm, KMH Dwarv 16 MTL RTA = 16mm.
Dicodes Tiny = 19mm, Coilart Salt = 18mm. Drives me up the wall, lol! :-x
Might still chase a Tiny for my KFMv3, if I choose to keep it.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I might try this out.
Reminds me of the 14mm rda days. Finicky to the max! :pervy:
Nice work on the grip, btw. That setup looks amazingly from yesteryear.

safe distance from a black hole
I just placed an order for one of these along with some other MTL RTAs and tanks, and stuff. Should be here Monday or Tuesday next week.
Turned up about two hours ago and Ive been using it since.
Most of my mods are 25mm and over, the Coilart salt looks kinda stupid on them. I have a pico 75 (22mm)and it looks okay on it except that the pico is silver and the coil art salt is black.
Ive recently switched from tight mtl draw to a much looser mtl and even restricted dl draw. When I ordered the coilart salt I was both tight mtl and loose mtl, over the last few days since ordering I have progressed to dropping tight mtl altogether and even drilled out a berserker for a loose mtl. I was thinking I might not have found the coil art salt useful when it got here.
its okay, I can use it. Its not a super tight draw on the biggest af setting. I can modify the airflow easily enough if I find it not working out. Im enjoying it right now but I cant help but find humour in the idea that 3days ago I wouldve found it to be a perfect draw and today its just a little bit tight. Even at a year vaping Im still fine tuning my vape technique and preferences.
No leaks or gurgles so far, it feels well made and I like how it all goes together. It reminds me of the savour mtl rta but slightly better made and machined. Good flavour and pretty good vapour production.
I just have to find a smaller mod as far as aesthetics go. I can see this becoming a preferred puff device in time.
Thanks to the OP for the suggestion, it works for me.

I know there has been no mention of af size, so trying to get a feel. Does anyone know how it might compare to any of these? Kayfun prime (any hole comparison would get me in the ballpark) darvw, doggy, kayfun mini v3, erlkonigin, gem. Those I use daily and curious to possible af comparisons. Thanks

Ive removed the airflow ring so that all holes are open and I am going to drill out the airflow hole under the coil. The coilart can be very tight but always with the feeling that not only was the air entering through the selected hole on the airflow ring but also through the less than tight airflow ring so the inhale wasnt instant and direct.
This is one of those tanks that even when the airflow ring is set to closed it is still vape'ble (in a tight and unpleasant way)
It could be as good or as bad as the Darvw and doggy depending on your preference but I dont think you would be gaining anything having read about your contentment with the Dvarw. I have given the Doggies away so I cant compare.

I think the Coilart and Savour MTL RTA are made in the same factory.

T for Texas!
My pros and cons (of the clone)... cons - draw is not as tight as berserker or 1mm Dvarw, juice guzzler (this thing PLOWS thru juice), some leakage and gurgling (it is a clone!)... pros - size, flavor, glass, ease of build.

I think some would really love this RTA but I will be passing mine along simply because I'm passed collecting and only hold onto what is absolutely perfect for me.
