John, I'm buying a little 650sq ft house in the Historic District here in Sumter. Met with my mortgage lady yesterday and got all the paperwork signed and on it's way to processing and underwriter. Hope to close within the next 30 days, but the seller is kind enough to let me move in next week and rent until we close

Home owner's insurance, electricity, water, and internet all lined up. Talked to Carlos (the owner/seller) and will meet him 9am Saturday to sign a lease for this first month while we wait for closing. I have to show the lease agreement to the utility companies . Otherwise, I think I'll be able to move in Monday...or Tuesday if they don't get the water and lights on Monday

I've been keeping this news close to the vest because I didn't want to jinx it! Until the closing papers are signed, the deal can still fall thru. The mortgage is not officially processed yet.
