Thanks, Bovi. I actually got lucky though. Up where you were got it bad, but we've gotten off very easily (down in my tiny corner).
Snapping a belt on a weekend where we're getting double-hit bites, but I shouldn't complain. It'll turn out to be just one bad weekend (and Monday), in a winter that annihilated way too much of this country.

I'm not sure how it works in Ct, but no taxes have been paid on the property since 2017. Some states just put a lien against the property but can't force you out. I'm just glad that I had the good sense to finally get gone from there!
My disability qualifies me for a Homestead exemption, which exempts the first $50k appraisal value of the property from taxes. I will only have to pay the minimum base tax of $75 on my house, and since I have an FHA mortgage (escrow account), my house payment may go down just a little bit

I got taxes too but we spell it tacks.

I just hope everyone don't have to go through the terrible weather we've been having. The sky was blue but we had to put up with two little white clouds that I had nightmares about. To top it off 4he sun was so bright I had to put on dark glasses. It was devastating.
