The funny thing is, and to be honest, in my marriage, I'm the one who would take 2 1/2 hours (at least) to pick out a phone and my wife is Mrs. "what's closest to the checkout."

No, we knew what we wanted, five min and that was done. Cases took her a bit longer, but not much. It was all the paperwork, transferring things over and activated that took forever, it always does.

Yeah, but they "bend you over the counter" before they sell you those cases at the phone store. They really must like those things for what they charge for them.

I think I have the perfect marriage. I've been married around 40 some years and separated around 30 of them.

Yeah, I used to love my dumb phones as well. Then the wife forced an iPhone on me and my world was never the same! I've always had thing for the weather then I got my ham radio liscence and joined up with Skywarn, the crazy guys out reporting weather to the NWS. (When you hear "trained weather spotter reported...." That's one of us.) Well the weather and particularly the radar apps, Radarscope is killer, completely changed the way we could operate! No need for sat service on a laptop, voltage inverters etc, so I really appreciate mine for that, plus it's nice to sometimes be able to do most of what you can do on a laptop without having to carry one around!

Yup, I know the situation well! This wasn't even about me, she wanted to get the boy a phone before vacation next week. Then she didn't like the prices and I've wanted to upgrade but she didn't think my old phone was good enough for an 11yo?
I dunno, just do what I'm told!

Sheesh, it's raining again! I've been in agony all weekend, had almost 3.5" of rain this weekend alone! This is August, right?
