Are 'ya sure? Don't scare me like that! Seriously, I've seen some site major rewrites where, let's just say, not a lot of site beta testing had been done... It's amazing the 100+ things you can miss. (Yeah, I've actually seen real oopsies that bad.)

Besides, I couldn't wait. I had to get my GITD 306 XLR 1.5 ohm atty-tipper thingum elsewhere. lol

It wouldn't be out of the range of normal if you did end up in a situation where all customers had to create a new password due to a major e-commerce rewrite. Some times you can't avoid it. :2c:

Back to the sofa! :pop: Git 'er done!
Huh insurance Peril? I'll look into that! Thanks Rick and Thunder!
Eh You wouldn't like our 306's at the moment, I don't even like them. We downgraded in a sense by trying a new factory which didn't work out so well. Once these are gone, we will return to the former greatness our 306 once were.

Hahaa!! And if you do know them...praise and flattery will get the job done ;)
haha Yes!Never ever be hostile to someone who is holding your livelihood!

Yeah, these IT people can be worse than doctors. They have you by the short and curly hairs now. But patience is a virgin, my brother. Hang in there.

You mean the pro -cough - primma - cough - gram - donna - mers?

Honestly, I don't know what to advise. If you ended up with someone who doesn't understand that THERE IS REAL MONEY LOSS INVOLVED FOR AN EXISTING BUSINESS EVERY DAY THIS IS HELD UP!!! then you may have the wrong programmers - again.

Next time - and maybe this time yet even - you may want to check in with these peeps for advice => Pittsburgh District Office | SBA.gov

One of the resources listed there is that => Mentoring | SCORE

May be time to check in with some other vendors for referrals too. I know The Vapor Room went through a major rewrite earlier this year. And Vicki @ Cignot keeps her site "dumbed down" on purpose because it keeps it running. Boring, but running. She said she gets contacted by people offering to help her "fix" her boring web site all the time. They may have programmer referrals.

Just throwing up ideas here... :2c:

I know all about issues with designers all to well. Starting up a fantasy sports website that our designers have been working on for 2 years. It is a very involved and extremely difficult website with tons of code. I knew it wouldn't be easy but once it is finally ready ill know at least it was done right and to my liking. We wanted to launch may 20th of 2012 but it would have been a train wreck. Take your time and make sure it is done right it will be well worth it in the long run.

The hardest part is, is that not too many people are familiar with Corecommerce's database. I don't understand it because it's absolutely amazing. Maybe it is the difficulty factor on playing with it.
the designer has been pushed. They are saying that they are having issues with the shopping cart design.

On a side note, I was visiting my parents earlier this week. my dad wasn't feeling so great and my mom urged me to press him to allow me to take him to the hospital suspecting an ulcer. So we ended up going together about 5 hours later of testing from blood work to cat scans etc it turned out that he has pancreatic cancer which splashed on to his liver leaving legions and also a blood clot in his upper abdomen:( He stayed in for a few days and has been dispatched last night with the need of taking daily shots for blood thinning along with pain killers. The good news is that he is not in any pain what so ever and he refuses to take the pain killers. At this point we're just waiting for the results of the biopsy to come in.
