Hey all, I'm a 21 year old pack-a-day smoker. I need some input in order to decide which e-cig is best for me.

I really want something that looks like a real cigarette (preferably white), as I spend a lot of time in public. An e-cig that is the size of a real cigarette would be great! I want something that's easy to refill and one that vapes a good amount. I don't like the idea of having to push down a button. I also want one with a good battery life.

I was considering blucig, but I've read a lot of terrible things about them. I like their charging pack a lot and the look of the cigarette. I also considered green smoke.

Hopefully some of the more experienced e-smokers on here can give me some input. I'd rather smoke an e-cig then keep polluting my body with all the toxins in cigarettes.

All your help is appreciated. I am looking to buy an e-cig in the next couple of days! :)

If you want to keep the same look as a cigarette, I'd suggest a 510 kit. (I do anyway, they're a great starter!). As for 'hitting a button', I'd STRONGLY suggest a MANUAL ecig. They ARE the ones where you press a button. It takes about 30 seconds to get used to doing so and they're A MILLION times better than automatic batteries. Auto's can go off on their own, (even a strong breeze can get SOME of them firing), and they can be damaged if any liquid gets in the battery because they're not sealed.

With the manuals, you have MUCH better control, vapor and Throat Hit.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!! :)

Do they make them in white? And what site is best to get them from?

Thanks :)

I have to agree with both prior posts!

I couldn't make my mind up between a manual or an auto. So, I ordered one of each starter kits from VaporKings. The auto are OK, but, they seem to have a protection circurt that stops them on a really long drag. Maybe it's just the DSE 901's that have this 'feature', don't know.

But, as Domino suggests, it's takes no time at all to get used to pushing the button. Remember, these are not analogs. Your fingers and mind quickly adapt to the new experience. Enjoy!

To be honest, I am still new to all of this, only 2 months, but i started with a set that looked like a real cigarette. About 4 days after I started using it, i realized that I wasn't even holding it like a cigarette anymore. Furthermore I realized that it wasn't the look that mattered to me anymore, but rather how well it actually worked. Do yourself a favor and go with a 510 or an ego. They don't look like cigarettes, but they work so much better. Also, get the manual battery, you will be so much happier. Obviously, it is your money, but I wish i had known and not wasted so much money trying to find what actually worked, instead of buying what looked like something i used to smoke.

Just so you know, almost every person that starts out thinks they want one that looks like a real cigarette. Almost every one of those people very quickly decide that it was a mistake. Please don't make that mistake. There are MUCH better e-cigs out there than the ones that look like a real cig.

If you must have this, the smokestik fit's the bill and my experience with it was not terrible and the batteries lasted longer than most folks report with their different brands that are similar, but I still look at it sitting on the shelf while I use my eGo.

I agree.

I got a Blu and loved it for it's size. I'm vaping on it right now and it feels too cool in my hand. Like something out of a James Bond movie.

But the problem is that about the time I get done typing this, the Blu will start to hit bad. Out of juice. And by the time I read the new posts here on the ECF, I will need to recharge the battery.

I too wanted something the size of an analog. But for a pack a day (PAD) smoker, they just don't cut it battery wise. Your going to need a bunch of extra batteries to get thru the day.

If you Have to go with an analog sized e-Cig, go with a 510. That way when you get tired of having to recharge your 510 batteries, you can move up to an eGo. All you 510 carts and cartomizers will fit on an eGo so you don't have to but a bunch of new stuff.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and trying to save me from making a big mistake! I'm going to go with the ego I think, it doesn't look so bad and the battery life is very promising.

As far as juices go...are Johnson Creek any good? I saw some posts on Viking Juice...from the sounds of it they are extremely affordable and promising.

Somebody really needs to the read the thread linked in my signature below...
:)
I really want something that looks like a real cigarette (preferably white), as I spend a lot of time in public.
You'll think that for about a week, maybe.
Or maybe not.

But chances are, yeah, just about one week.
:D

An e-cig that is the size of a real cigarette would be great!
Again, yeah, about one week.
Maybe more, but in the end, not so much.

But you're just like all the rest of us when we started, so I don't blame you.
Get ready to buy something else later though.

I don't like the idea of having to push down a button.
Biggest mistake most new users make.
It becomes second nature in about a day.

And it makes all the difference in the world.
Again, read the thread linked in my signature below, for you own sake.

I also want one with a good battery life.
Now you find the contradiction.

A long battery life is mutually exclusive with looking like a cigarette.
The bigger the battery, the longer the life, and the less it looks like a cigarette.

In time, you probabaly won't care about it looking like a cigarette.
But then again, you may be one of the few that really does.

Thanks for your post! I read the one in your signature, it helped me decide to go with the ego. Everyone suggested that, so I guess it's a good ecig to start with.

Thank you for trying to save me some money too, lol! I work a political campaign, so when we all smoke I want something that sort of looks like a cigarette, it doesn't have to be identical. I just don't want one of those that looks like a little box.

Thanks!

I felt just like you did, at first ... until I read and read and read ... and decided to go with the 510. Everyone's complaining about the battery, but with a PCC I don't really see an issue. The prefilled cartridges that came with it (just 2 days ago!) is pretty nasty but doable by mixing in some VG-based juice. Boy am I glad that I ordered 1 bottle PG and one VG!

I, like everyone else probably, thought I wanted juice that would taste like tobacco smoke but already, after only 2 days, I'm wishing I'd gotten something entirely different--mocha, maybe? LOL!!! If I had it to do over again, I'd get blank cartridges rather than prefilled, and that TOTALLY surprises me! I thought that the convenience of just popping the cart on the atty would be great, but filling it really isn't a big deal at all.

Good luck and enjoy!
