Just wanted to say I am loving my chameleon iTaste VV! It really is a gorgeous device, love the square shape and especially that it can be charged with a micro USB, since I have those everywhere around the house for charging my phone and tablet. It makes it very convenient. It has a nice solid feel and is similar in size to the 1100mah Smoktech Winder (Twist/Spinner style). The voltage +/- buttons seem a little finicky however... not sure if I'm suppose to double press the buttons to get the display to read, sometimes it doesn't respond until I press it 3 times or several times. Nevertheless, it does work and doesn't bother me too terribly since I don't need to change my voltage very often.

Edit: Nvm... looks like all I need to do is a longer press. All is good!
You should be able to press both +/- buttons, simultaneously for 2 seconds, and get resistance, battery V, puffs and last user setting. If you hit one a bit sooner than the other or don't go the full 2 secs (as I see you've discovered ;-) ), you get the info from which ever button you hit first, or nothing. Have fun with it... they're a terrific unit.

Has anyone run into a code that reads "1=1", or something else?

I was using mine during a particularly hot day at the outdoor mall and I got that code while my volts and power would inexplicably change from where I last set it. Could it have been due to heat or humidity? It hasn't happened since. I wonder if it was some sort of reset.

BTW, I picked up a slightly used one to give to a friend. At first I wasn't completely impressed, but now I feel the need to spend some time with 2 in tandem and see if they would last me all day. I'm sure my friend will understand.

excist - Unless you lucked into the particular oHms for your juice delivery device that is your happy power vaping spot you will very much appreciate the ability to adjust the power of your vape to taste.

That's exactly what I was hoping I'd be able to do with VW mode. Thanks for the info!

I saw this problem the other day as a matter of fact, on my older one without the VW. (I still have the newer VW one as well which is still hitting like a champ and I love that it has all the features of my Vamo and Zmax in such a small form factor).

Anyway, back to the issue at hand. Now, it won't fire at all, and when I plug it in to charge, the button flashes Red/Yellow/Green several times, the display shows 888 and then 1 = 1 (the equals sign is actually 3 lines but I can't type that here) and it doesn't charge either. So it seems to be completely dead. I emailed Stormy's about it yesterday and am waiting for a reply back. Since it's only 2 months old, I'm hoping there's some kind of warranty on it, at least 90 days worth.

It sounds as if you had the same issue, but you were able to get yours working again. I'll let you know what happens with mine. (my mom's actually as I had passed it along to her when I acquired the VW one.)

Unfortunately, it seems Innokin doesn't warranty the products purchased from third parties so any warranty lies with the vendor, and Stormy's told me only 2 weeks. :( I noticed however that Smoke Evolution, where I got my newer one, warranties all their battery products for 90 days unless otherwise noted. Varitube also warrantied my Sigelei Z-Max for 90 days. So I guess looking at a vendor's individual warranty is something to keep in mind when ordering these things. In any case, Stormy's offered me a great price to upgrade to the latest version if I send this one back so I'm taking them up on it. Which means I can't have hubby take this one apart and look for a short or anything since I have to send it back to them. However, I really would've been happier if it was warrantied for at least 90 days to begin with instead of just returning this one and getting the new one at 1/2 price. I suppose that's not half bad. :\

Got 2 of them a white and a black; both of them about 3 weeks old. The white one is now firing intermittently, just seems like the button does nothing sometimes. The black one has a bigger problem; it used to shut down completely once every couple of days or so, now it does it more than once a day, typically when switching from one clearo/tank to another, which I tend to do many times a day. I love these things but starting to get real worried about quality; anybody having similar issues?

^^^ It sounds like there may be an issue where your juice delivery devices are not making a good connection. When your iTaste VV 3.0 won't fire check the oHms by pressing down the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously. If the first reading is 0.00 you don't have a good connection between your juice delivery device and your iTaste VV 3.0.

If poor contact is the issue clean the positive pin on your iTaste VV 3.0 and the juice delivery devices with some alcohol. If that doesn't work check your juice delivery devices to make sure that the pin on the bottom that makes contact with the iTaste VV 3.0's positive post is not pushed up too far to make contact.

If that doesn't fix the issue you may have torqued down your juice delivery devices too hard and pushed the positive pin down too far on your iTaste VV 3.0s. This can push the positive post down to the point where it won't make contact. If that has happened use a small eyeglass screwdriver to gently leverage the center post up just a millimeter or so. In the future, just gently snug your juice delivery devices down. Over tightening with any PV is never a good idea.

^^^ There is an outside chance there could be an intermittent contact issue. Try pulling up the pin just a bit on one of your the iTaste VV 3.0s. If that doesn't fix the issue contact your vendor. I've never had even a hint of a problem with any of my three so I'm out of ideas if it's not a contact issue.

^^^ Unless your wife chain vapes at 8+ watts or can't live with an 800 mAh battery with pass-through capability that allows simultaneous vaping and charging I think your wife will be delighted with the iTaste VV 3.0. Despite the name it does, indeed have VW as well as VV. I have three and all have performed perfectly all the time.

If you don't mind waiting a week or two Fast Tech has the full kit iTaste VV 3.0s with the iClear 16's for $39.54.
