It's insane that P+ Stratas had to be cut back. A hybrid P+? What more could you want?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger run on used Precise's. You'd think it's the most cost effective way to get your hands on a Strata. You don't see a lot of them hit the classies either...but you see even less Simplicity's hit. Maybe it's just me?

Either way, I totally lucked out on grabbing the one that hit here on Saturday. Talk about great timing.

I can think of a few reasons that people are holding off on the P+ version. A lot of ELA owners also have precise pluses, and I imagine they aren't willing to put down an order for one of each. Also a big user base is in the UK and it's a big leap of faith to order a 150$ atty from overseas and deal with shipping and duties etc, especially if you might have to return it if there are issues. Or what if you don't like it? Also, it's probably easier to sell an ELA with a strata second hand than it is a P+ with a strata (read: more lucrative). Then you've also got the group that don't have P+, and would have to pick one up used. Maybe they're waiting for a redesigned P+ and to try and pick up a new version of the strata for that.

Then you've also got the satisfied P+ customers who have a current setup that they're happy with, and dot frequent the super-t forum and aren't even aware of the strata.

We know how this will go right?

Within a week of it getting shipped to users and the reviews / user comments start flooding in we will see this more than once in the classifieds section:

WTB: Precise Plus Strata

I agree, it's a no-brainer for me. In fact, I'm limited to one Strata at the moment and chose the P+ version over the ELA version. Reasons?

- The device just seems to be a better fit visually on a narrower device like the P+ or Simplicity (obviously, just an opinion)
- One-time only on the P+ (I'm assuming I can pick up an ELA version down the road)
- The ELA works better for larger/wider attys, and I have a few of them, so it seems like a better idea to make the P+ a dedicated device rather than the ELA
- Seems like it will be a better "stealth" option than the ELA

Chamfered top cap to help with condensation and more airflow.

I have a P+ 18650 I've never used been holding off to get a good atty for it, a few weeks ago I had two of them and almost sold them both but decided to keep one thankfully I did because now it will have a strata permanently attached and hopefully be my go to device!!

"We are working on the revisions now" - Just to recap besides the Rhodium plating, what were the adjustments?

Here is what he said a few pages back..

Update: In case you missed it, we are doing some tweaking on the design, chamfering the inside cap to reduce condensation buildup, enlarging the air holes, switching to a shorter center post and using an all brass precious metal plated Rhodium over Gold center post.

It's going to ROCK

You made a mistake. You should of never purchased that p+. Now you are doomed! You will be spoiled from here on out. Nothing will ever compare to the consistent performance of a p+. Like a lays potato chip, you can't have just one. :)

Nah! This isn't the first Super T device I've had in my possession. I knew what I was signing up for! :)
