David, is it safe to say that you feel that the revisions are all that is needed before testing the new top caps with the new center post?
I would just hate to see that there might be more improvements needed after these hit the public.
In so far as the limits of this design, yes. Air holes have been increased in size for more airflow. We also found the internal air passages did not intersect with each other well, causing further restriction and uneven flow port to port. Compare your new units with your old ones when I send them back and you'll see, use a 7x loop and a light placed on the opposite side of the air holes to see down in the passages where they intersect. We solved the poor conductivity issue posed by the all stainless post by switching to the Rhodium plated brass which in turn increased vapor dramatically and we put a nice radius on the inside of the top cap to aide juice drain back from condensation. I also went with a .100 shorter center post which put it at the same level as the outer two posts.
