David, is it safe to say that you feel that the revisions are all that is needed before testing the new top caps with the new center post?

I would just hate to see that there might be more improvements needed after these hit the public.

In so far as the limits of this design, yes. Air holes have been increased in size for more airflow. We also found the internal air passages did not intersect with each other well, causing further restriction and uneven flow port to port. Compare your new units with your old ones when I send them back and you'll see, use a 7x loop and a light placed on the opposite side of the air holes to see down in the passages where they intersect. We solved the poor conductivity issue posed by the all stainless post by switching to the Rhodium plated brass which in turn increased vapor dramatically and we put a nice radius on the inside of the top cap to aide juice drain back from condensation. I also went with a .100 shorter center post which put it at the same level as the outer two posts.

Anymore news on this yet? I read in another thread david saying he couldn't start machining flat buttons till the first batch of top caps had finished. Makes me think that the first batch shouldn't be too far away.

Last I heard, the goal was first week of January. I'm guessing possibly sometime next week?!? :)

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Stay warm David, I have been complaining about the weather we are going to get down here. After I see what you are going to get hit with, I feel like we aren't going to get hit to hard. May all stay warm and safe!

Long time, thanks for the holiday wishes and hope yours were great and stay warm and dry.

I am always reading and watching, never to far away. :) Thank you for the kind wishes, I hope you had a great holiday also. Looks as the worst of the weather may be approaching in a few days. Stay safe and warm, it looks like it is going to be a cold one. 31 below in Minnesota come Monday, brrr.

Yesterday I voluntarily relinquished my testing of the Strata..

I doubt the slot will be filled since it's so close to completion....

I've had a few people PM me wanting details on the Strata but I will honor my confidentiality agreement with Super T, so please don't ask me about it :D

Rock on peeps, hope you all enjoy it once you get it in your paws! :)

I would love to test it......I have coils already to go...... I would be a great test dummy as I haven't used an RBA for a year now, and since I only direct drip, the HH gives good performance in the small 510 package I love..... I could give David an honest opinion of the Strata vs the serious disposable contender king---HH357 custom atty.......Direct Dripping:vapor:Rules!!!

I would too. I've been dripping in an Immortalizer pretty much exclusively for the past month. It'll be interesting to compare that with the Strata. I'm pretty well stocked up on various sizes of silica, and I have some ekowool and sterile cotton I can try as well. I've got a ton of kanthal wire in various thicknesses along with some ribbon. Bring it on. :)
