Okay, I'm totally failing at building anything today (can't even successfully punch a carto for my tanks this evening), but I gave the Strata a shot anyway ;-) Machining is great, as expected, and it looks awesome on the Simplicity

Tried a couple of dual coils builds, didn't pan out too well (for various reasons, totally my fault  ) then settled on just a single. Flavor is good, throat hit is solid, a little lacking on vapor. It definitely wasn't an optimal build, but shows promise and I can see what I did wrong. Might be able to tweak it a little to be better, but at least now I've figured out what NOT to do

It's not the only atty I've failed at building today, so I'm taking a break for this evening. Will give it another go tomorrow

So I had an interesting experience today.. I was puffin on the strata... and felt this sort of tingle... and then I got electrocuted :( That arcing someone mentioned in another forum happened to me.. the drip tip/centerpost clearance must be too close because it made contact. I'm scared to use the stock drip tip now :/ anyone else have the arcing happen? I know a lot of people don't have theirs yet. Did the testers encounter that at all?

When you build, take a look at your center post and make sure it's straight. If you wrap the wire most of the way around the post that should help keep it straight, maybe catching the wire underneath only one side could .... it just slightly

Can't help but feel a bit bummed as my P+ Strata has yet to ship. You guys are having all the fun w/o me!

I'm sure it will get shipped out one of these days. The stress us vapers go through waiting on new toys!

:vapor:

Fear not my friend as my P+ Strata started moving today. Yours cannot be far behind.

There were no reports of being tased during testing.

Well I got my 18500 Ti's, my ELA top cap, and my P+ Strata in one package, but no Simplicity Strata's yet. Will need the longer post for the P+ version too, so no joy for me yet either. I really hope / wish that future revisions will have an adjustable post, as I switch between AW and Efest routinely and I find orings a PITA.

I'm about to get an adjustable battery spacer from a vendor I wont mention just to circumvent this.

That being said, the best advise in regards to super t mods and bats are. Set the mod up with a specific brand/size/model battery and buy a bunch of those batteries. Its also good to have a handful of battery magnets laying around too.

The more I get into this I just build mod/atty configurations to my liking and leave that setup as is, a marriage if you will.

Helios + Simplicity 18650
Strata + P+ 18650
Quasar + VW Nemesis
Pyrex RSST + Nemmi Clone

I keep the ELA and MVP for all the other stuff if I need to switch it up.

Did you see the picture of one of those new purple efest 35A batteries that vented...wasn't a thread here but someone copied the pictures to ECF....so I don't know the details other than it was a vaping application

Still no shipping notice here, for my simplicity strata. I was told early this week...it being Wednesday now, I'm starting to wonder.

This update thread is still accurate within about a day so your Strata should be going out very soon as we estimated we could get the rest out by weeks end:

-TI 18500: 15 of the 35 Titanium Simplicities have shipped as of yesterday. I'm pushing Kevin to get at least another 10 out today and the remaining 10 on Monday. Kevin has been the one polishing, fitting and assembling them. These aren't mass produced, they are hand finished to a "flawless" surface (as flawless as can be). We can't rush it.

-P+ Strata: I have about 40 more P+ Strata to ship. We are machining the extra long switch posts (which will be free of charge) for them to work better with the Shorter IMR batteries as the existing switch posts on your P+ are too short to add enough washers. We should have those posts done being machined today and I estimate we should be able to get them out Monday and Tuesday.

-Simplicity and Simplicity Strata: We have about 100 Simplicity units currently assembled, and we hope to have the rest all shipped (including the Simplicity RDA's) by Friday of next week.

-ELA Strata, Top caps are done being machined (all the posts, screws and tips and delrin pieces are done too). We will start on the bottoms Monday. There is about one week of machining on them (they take about 20 minutes each to machine just that bottom piece!). I belive we can get them finished by next Friday and they will commence shipping and I will make it a goal to get them all out within a week of their completion.

-ELA: I'm now down to just about 100 orders. This is my baby, I do All the final finish, prep and assembly. That won't change and its why its so slow, but we are close. I will put a realistic estimate that I will have all remaining ELA's shipped by the end of March. I'll make it my mission in life. I promise.

I know we are behind the ball, all three of us here are working hard to get your stuff out, but most importantly , not just shoving crap out there. I'm .... and over controlling here, but we are doing the best we can to make sure quality isn't compromised over volume. I only ask for a few more weeks of your patience, the light at the end of the tunnel is near, I Promise.

David
