I just joined up here on the ECF so I could say I'm loving my new SS Torpedo tank from my southern neighbor. I may get the chance to drop on down your way in a week or so so's I can be tempted by your new prototypes. By the way JonahNM you convinced me to try a P16 and I can't wait to see how it looks with your torpedo on top.

An update on some things. The glass saw I have been waiting for arrived today, the diamond blade for it will be here Monday. I have ordered Stainless Steel Tubing and will be offering all Stainless Torpedo Tanks and Stainless Steel replacement Tubes soon. We are still working on the parts order and will get to the Depth Charge as soon as we can. More exciting things coming soon,
Jonah

It has been a while since I've braved the civilized world down your way. Oh, I just remembered it's Indian Market next weekend isn't it? Perhaps the week after then as I don't think I can handle Indian Market crowds this year. Yup, definitely time I kicked rocks down south again.

After the madness of market is always a better idea. I can't handle the crowed it brings any year.

If you love the 306 atomizer then here is the drip tip you are going to fall in love with, the 306 Imperial.

Hey Jonah, for your CE2 Torpedo Tanks, how far do you cut the metal tubing on the CE2 or do you just remove the entire CE2 out of the tube?

Is it possible to use clearo tubing or does it need to be the original metal casing?

Last question, for now :) does the bottom cap use any O-rings to hold and prevent leaks or is it pressure fitted like other CE2 tanks? Reason I ask is I had one before and while it worked great, it was just a PITA to remove the CE2's, I nearly about broke my Ego battery trying to pull them out.

Thanks for the info and help,

I believe I can answer these for you. Yes there is an o-ring in the base. and they need to be cut really close to 9.5mm. Any longer and the CE2 will stick out a bit. Any shorter and it won't seat properly. You could use a Clearo by utilizing a small 9mm piece of ss tube placed into the base. I haven't tried it but that's what I've heard.

Thanks my fellow Floridian friend.

I have my carto tank setup but really don't like when I remove the filler I see constant burnt material and I know this is normal and common, guess it's just my OCD.

I used to do the CE2 tanks then just got tired of having to constantly struggle to remove the CE2's. I didn't mind cutting my own cartos and such, it was easier IMO than punching or using a Dremel and cleaning them was soooo easy, quick dry burn and done. Although after the dry burn it took a couple of puffs to get rid of that soot taste or ash or whatever that leftover burnt juice stuff was, Yuck. So I might just jump back on the CE2 bus again. Got some of the new Deluxe clearos coming in and if I like them again, I might just get a Torpedo Tank.

Do you know or does anyone know if the SS tube from a Boge carto is the same size as the tube from a CE2? I don't have any metal CE2's and didn't know if that would work but I guess I could just order some from Jonah when getting the Torpedo.

If I like and switch, I'll have about 40+ steel Boge regular cartos going up for sale :) to help fund my new tank LOL

Thanks again,

Thanks again,
Looking back at Jonah's posts, I see he cuts them 9.9mm. In my experience it's really hard to be precise cutting them. I just tried a Boge Carto and it fits perfectly, diameter wise into the base of the SS Torpedo so that metal casing will work fine. If your Deluxe Clearo's work as good as the fat wick CE2's, it might actually be a better solution using them with a metal sleeve in place rather than constantly having to cut CE2's. Let me know what you end up with.

Will do buddy, I got plenty of old Boge cartos I can cut up :) I looked around and doesn't seem like many places just sell the Steel CE2's now and although it's easier to just get the pre-cut ones, I just don't want to pay an extra $1.60 per carto if I can help it, I guess any little helps LOL.

I know the new Deluxes have like an O-ring on the bottom so not sure if that will prevent it from going in the tube but it actually might also help prevent leaks.

How's you luck been with the good ole' Torpedo, is there any leaking when laying it on it's side and through the vent holes? I know that seems to be the Achilles's heel for any CE2 tank but these were just being announced when I got out of the CE2 game.

Thanks again for checking that metal casing of the Boge out for me :)

IMO all CE2's leak. It's just a function of their design. Unless you keep them upright, they will leak. That's why I've gone to the Boge Carto's. Ya I know there's a bit of burning going on, but it's really only a tiny bit. Compare that to inhaling a pack of burning cigarettes! I still slightly prefer the taste and vape of a CE2 in a tank but with carto's I can lay my PV down or put it in my pocket with no worries about leaking. I was at a Vape meet up last weekend and, even though several folks wanted to buy my Torpedo, I kept it. It's just too sweet looking and works so well, I have to keep it!

Here is the tester for the jig and punch set. We are going with a smaller hole in case people are using thin liquids. If you are using thick liquids 2 or 3 holes will be needed. We are done with testing and the first carto jig and punch sets will be ready in the next few day's.
