Lol do not use the Efest 20A 3100mAh.

There's a massive thread on ECF with links to test results. The ratings are ridiculously overstated. Apparently that particular battery goes berserk once you pull more than 6.5 or 7 amps.

On the other hand, the purple Efest 35A is also only a 20A continuous and 35A pulse rating. Yup

Are you talking about the purple efest 20A? Because I'm about to cry. They have been waiting on my desk for weeks for the arrival of my IPV2.

Lol as far as I know, there's only one purple Efest 3100mah 20A type, so yeap that's the one.

Also took me forever but I found the thread.

That German reviewer btw is a super super technical geek who does pretty much the most indepth study on batteries.

Efest 20 Amp 3100mAh seems to be that cell with a ~7 Amp continuous rating in that thread^.

Efest is known to fudge their ratings, rewrapping other company's cells and giving them new ratings. These 20 Amp batteries are their most exaggerated battery.

The 35 Amp efest is the lg 20Amp cell.

But they didn't really mess with the 30 Amp battery ratings.. which is a Sony vtc4..

I don't want to go off topic, but any suggestions on were to buy vtc5 ?

The trusty places I know are out of stock. Ebay is my way to go, but not this time, at least if anyone here knows a good ebay seller carrying the real ones.

I got mine on Amazon but for about $22.00 for two of them , this seller wants $35.00 and there are guides to show how to tell if they are authentic.

bummer about those efest 20a 3100mAh batteries. I was all hyped out about it, having a 20a battery with a high capacity till I saw that thread a couple weeks ago:facepalm: makes me madd! I have 2 of them.

Yes , it is a bummer . I want a legit 20 amp over 3000 mAh battery for my 35 watt just for longer run time than my 2600 mAh Sony's which have higher amp capability but it's not needed on my model.

So considering that 20a is what I ordered too, what is the lowest you guys would recomend going on the ivp2 with dual coil.
The Efest 20A? If you believe the reports of it not being 20 amp continuous, I'd stay below 10A. At 50 watts you could still go as low as .6 without hitting that 10amp mark.

Trust fire 18650?
Which one? I think they have a few

Those new Vamped batteries are getting a lot of attention right now, I'll test the so called 40 amp Vamped. I have been unable to find a c rating for it, but its probably like the efest and not actually 40 continuous
