I hate to think that vtc's are the best option. They are solid batteries, capable of pushing extremely high currents.

There has to be something with a higher capacity that can handle 20 Amps.

I saw on at least one site , maybe eciggity that says do not use any battery other than one rated to 30 amps with the ipv 50 but this doesn't apply to the 35 watt.

They changed the message , now it just says the below.

*PLEASE USE A 30A BATTERY FOR THIS DEVICE*

Wonder what that ultimately means for us. I know Garym93 said that he had that issue with the screw on the bottom stripping out.

I spoke with Greenleaf/Pioneer4you today about IPV2 rumor.
They DENY a recall for quality control issue.
There was a delay on silver box (didn't specify but rumor is the paint) but it is now it is green light, go.
The back screws do cross thread easily so be very careful BUT they are not going back to production over this issue. They may send out better quality screws but not a definite word yet.

IMO i think a magnetic back would be ideal esp for those who do not want to charge with usb and remove battery to do so (which is a quicker, safer option).

hi everyone, waiting for my ipv2 aswell. just wanted to ask, whats the best battery to get for this device? thanks all.

DO NOT use a 18650 that is less than 30 amps if you plan to use high wattage or sub ohm. For best use a 30 amp works great. The VTC4 (my preference) or VTC5 are good options. Efest has a purple one that is now 35 amp

This is on a UK sellers page "A quality control issue has come up with a screw on the iPV's and all of the devices produced are now going back to the production facility to correct the issue. "

So those with screw/stripped threads should have no exchange problems.

Good to hear. Because when the threads came out they scratched the box. I know fluid is going to tell me they can't do anything but I figure pioneer4u may do something. Warranty claim 2 days in. New record?

And it's such a shame because it's so nice. I love the thing. Go figure, they could design a board for 50 watts, touch fire, great design but messed up on the screws. *scratches head*

How did you speak to pioneer4u? I really would like to contact them somehow

Good to hear about the recall being a rumor and nothing more. Yea, a magnetic back would be the way to go. Any idea as to where to start out with modding this for that?

I would like a back that comes off quickly for convenience as well as for safety reasons. However, since magnets don't always play nicely with electronics I wonder if that is why no manufacturers or any of the SX350 mods I've seen seem to use them.

I sent an email to YiHi and they confirmed that the SX330 has no step down capability. No surprise there. However, they referred me to pioneer4u to explain what their chip does between 3.6 and 4.2 volts. :( I'm guessing their English isn't up to the task or their spec sheet is wrong since they obviously know how their chip works.

I am very interested in someone figuring out how to modify this back battery closure with small magnets. Anyone here skilled in doing so, willing to try it and can teach us how?
IMO... Because this unit has 2 tiny screws (top edge and bottom) they are far from the chip and what seems to be crucial wiring (unless you were to drill too deep of course). Seems simple enough. Drill out screw holes to glue magnet, drill out screw holes and do the same.
Easy enough. (gulp)
I wonder if Greenleaf would send out an extra back "door" to try it.

Those of you interested in finding the "sweet spot" for using this new unit I HAVE to turn you on to this amazing online resource. Mod range | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
You can drag down menu and pick Greenleaf IPV2.

While you are there you can play with ohm chart, a detailed coil wrapping formula guide, a battery drain formula, and an e liquid recipe formula. It is AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

A place some call paradise
If anyone was concerned with the unit and the magma atomizer:

I received an authentic magma yesterday. Apparently it is a v3 of the atomizer and it has a considerably shorter 510 connector than the clone I had. It's smaller than the tobh. I would say it's pretty close to the same size as a igo-w.
If I'd known this yesterday I probably would have ordered one of these from eciggity but I got spooked and put my money into a preorder.

Just a little FYI

Hope they take care of you , i wouldn't be surprised if one of them say this is not covered under warranty , it's user error , too much force with wrong screwdriver , that would suck . Does the body feel cheap and thin ?
