Before you (or anyone) do anything dangerous or silly with a mod or build may I suggest a few vaping resources to help?

First, any time you build a coil refer to this online "app" where you can choose the wire you want use, the size diameter, single coil or dual, and the ohms you are aiming for and it will tell you exactly how many wraps you need. It even has a nice visual image to guide you. It is called coil toy. Here: Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

Second, always refer to a vaping Safety Chart (version 3.0 is the best one) to determine the variable voltage and/or wattage you should use for the resistance (ohm) coil you have built. There is a separate sub ohm vaping chart out too. If you follow this chart you can find the sweet spot for your build and avoid burning a coil and/or your juice. Here is a link: Safe Vaping Power Chart | The Tamarind Tree

Third, if you want an advanced online resource for coils, juice mixing, ohm charts, battery drain, and finding the sweet spot for your specific APV go to this site. It is called Steam Engine. Here: Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

I encourage everyone i meet that is new to vaping to research the limitation of their mod and their battery (the heart of the whole deal) before getting caught up in 'how low can you go'. Clouds are fun but flavor is where it is at (imo).

Vape safe.

Do you guys think it's worth it to return my first version from FluidVapes? I know I can disable the touch button by unplugging it but I'm worried there may be other issues with prototypes that we may not know about yet.
If they're accepting returns and it's not your main PV, I don't see why not. ~100 ain't chump change. I'd want a perfectly working device for that amount.

Second edit: Fluidvapes is taking it back. So problem solved I guess. Now I have to wait for my refund and either get another one or wait for something else I guess
Could you tell us what happened with your return to FluidVapes? Did they update you to the newest batch or give you a refund? Apparently they are selling the new ones now.

Tracking says they'll get it Monday. But honestly, regardless of outcome I will not be doing business with them again. They only reply to the e-mails they choose to, and when they do reply it's almost rude. But if it gets there Monday and I don't hear from them by end of day Tuesday I'm going to be pretty .......

I completely agree. I'm sending mine back tomorrow and if they don't send me back the latest version I will be demanding a full refund. They sold a product they knew was the prototype with no mention of that in the description. Also every email I have received has very brief and rude.

I really don't want to have to do this, but my last resort is going to be disputing the charge with my credit card company. I'm convinced at the VERY least, they got a bad batch, and are now pushing everything onto the end user, when they should just be nice, take them back, and deal with pioneer4you. That's how you do business and that's how you do customer service. Not sit here and tell me it's user error that my screw came fused into the threads.

By the way, the warranty center sucks too. 2 emails 3 days ago and I haven't heard back. I even called and never got a call back. So don't hold your breath on this warranty working out either. Same with P4U. Answered one email then nothing.

I'll report back here with what they tell me once they receive it. If you could do the same that would be awesome. Hopefully we can fix this and not have to deal with FluidVapes or p4u again.

If it's defective of course.

If you have proof it's a prototype you shouldn't have any issues , maybe they didn't mention it because they don't think it is. What constitutes a prototype , does it have different markings?

Should owners of the Cana version 1 demand a new one because their version must be a prototype , it had issues but not all got replacements.

Is that what they said about the screw problem , it's user error , wow . P4U is in the process of setting up their service center now , give it some time but in the case of the screw you should definitely get a replacement.

If Fluidvapes has a brain they will take care of you asap as this is already costing them customers.

This batch does not have a quality control sticker, it cannot disable the touch fire button, and the screws are messed up. It may not be a prototype but it is not the same product that everyone that did not order from FluidVapes is getting.

I just opened a case on ebay for receiving a defective device. I bought it from fluidvapes on their ebay store. Luckily, i'm covered by that ebay protection money back guarantee thing. I tried contacting them on their ebay store 3 times and they never respond. They probably never check their ebay account lol. Hopefully they don't because if they don't respond to exchange my ipV2. I should just get a full refund and keep this "first batch unit". The thing is i'm not even tripping about the touch fire sensor not being able to turn off. Its just the state of mind knowing they sold me something that doesn't have its full capabilities. tsk tsk  fluidvapes.

Then you should have zero issues , Fluidvapes needs to rectify this asap if they know anything about staying in business.

They should also pay for return shipping .

Exactly I know there is a manual way to disable the touch fire button by taking it apart but I payed 100 dollars for this device and expect the same thing that everyone else received.

I'm shipping it back tomorrow if they don't send me the newest version I am refuting the charge with my credit card company. No matter what I am never doing business with them again and plan on posting about this to warn people on reddit and on here. I was looking forward to this device so much and it sucks having to deal with this scummy company.

Yeah, fluidvapes is very unprofessional. But it is hard to expect much from that company because they are directly affiliated with their china manufactures. I don't know if it was on this thread, but I read that someone called them and they barely spoke english.

I know this was my stupidity but I had no idea. I didn't know that's how they do business or I never would have ordered from there.

To herb: yes they are basically telling me it's user error. The screw is stripped yes but what do you expect if it's fused to the threads and a chintzy screw to begin with. My cloupor box has awesome screws. What is so hard about this? They made a great product with either ....ty screws or I got unlucky

That is just over the top nuts lol, before bashing Fluidvapes get your replacement first , if they know they are going to get killed regardless they may become even bigger "a" holes.

I believe there is a forum on this site for vendor complaints , i would do that as well.
