Would depend on if you subohm or run dual+ coils on an rda. With doing either you would need more power.

Actually i run three coils on my RDA's and my 35 watt lights them up instantly on builds from 1 to 3 ohm's , so does my Cana . It seems the popular thing to do these days is run higher resistances since sub ohm is unnecessary on these devices.

Look at the overwhelming popularity of the Vaporsharks , 30 watts max and i have not seen anyone mention they need more power.

I think the ones shipping now are second batch. First batch was 3 weeks ago.
The one with the new sx330 2S chip are the ipv2s I believe, so its infact not a batch thing but another unit thing. Fwiw, it looks like body is a bit different. Same shape but different finish and button wells. The cost will be 20 to 30 dollars more id imagine based on volume pricing. Hopefully its a spring 510 this time.

Just confirmed from pioneer4you sales rep that the new ipv2 with sx330 2S chip (User upgradable) will be shipping to vendors in one week.... so add 3 weeks transit time for in hand time..

Just thought some would like to know.
Hope it hasnt been shared b4, if so myy badddd.

PoWeR to the VaPoR!
Best,

Why do manufacturers always do that , God i hate that lol. Even though i will not need the extra power it's just the practice of releasing something thats improved or nicer that pisses me off , cell phones, computers manufacturers are the biggest offenders.

Can we buy just the chip to upgrade ours that we have now? They dont expect us to buy a whole new device for 10 watts do they?

Actually yes, thats exactly what they expect you to do.

I think its the user upgradability that has me interested wether it be more wattage or more features, firmwaee fixs etc...
I wont say for certain but they also mentiined its the same chip going in the 120w ipv3(yes I said 120w ipv3! )

Only difference I noticed in ipv2 w 2s chip vs ipv3 was ipv3 is dual 18650 and the body is slightly different on top section of housing.

As far as upgrading on your own.. im sure you could by the chip from yihi and do it, you will most definitely void your warranty tho on the original unit...

Firmware fixes are a big plus , that's worth extra $$ to me , Why would anyone want a 60+ watt one 18650 model when the dual 18650 model is coming out right behind it.

I´m pretty sure if the thing with the new chip is true, many people would really be ...... off if they have already bought this device before...and to be honest, I would be, too...!

Small changes on a device are okay in my eyes...for example better fit of the backplate...but such a huge change on the chip?!?

Wouldnt be a smart step from P4Y...

Actually this is standard practice with the way most companies work , i don't think it's a bad move for P4U at all , i fully expected more chips and more devices to flood the market , people will buy and thats all P4U and other companies care about , the bottom line.

It only sucks for people who have that mindset of always needing to have the latest but don't have an unlimited $$ supply, i am very happy with my iPV 35 watt .

I am eying up that Kato mechanical box mod , that sucker is sweet as hell.

Elev8ape really ordered like 8000+ of these things?

No. They've had 8000 total orders of everything on their site since they started.

I ordered underwear from Kohls last week and my order number was 10089056. I don't think they've sold 10 Million pair of underwear.

If i had a iPV 50 watt i honestly would not even bother to upgrade it , 50 is way more than i would ever use , actually 35 watt is too much for me . I will never understand why this obsession with max power , is 50 watt not getting it done for anyone.
The only reason I bought this one over the 35 watt is there's no reason not to have the extra 15 if I ever get into crazy builds, but after I got it I realized I prefer vaping around 20-23, the heat up time on dual 26 gauge is too long any lower, and I prefer a cool vape so I don't like going higher.

I cant really imagine a need for higher than 50 personally, but some builds do need more than 50 watts to properly work, especially at .5 and lower, so I can understand why people want higher wattage. I never really go below .7 personally, so this is fine for me.

.3 ohms on a mechanical with no voltage drop comes out to 58.8 watts. Our IPV2s go down to .2, supposedly.
