I don't want to go off topic, but any suggestions on were to buy vtc5 ?

The trusty places I know are out of stock. Ebay is my way to go, but not this time, at least if anyone here knows a good ebay seller carrying the real ones.
RTD Vapor has a good reputation for only selling legit products, I have some AW IMR 1600s from there that i believe are authentic, they've worked great.
Manufacturers need to figure out a way to authenticate batteries, maybe those scratch off codes that alot of clearomizers have that you can out into a website.
Just saw you said in stock, I have no clue, no where seems to have them right now.

Just get the eFest 35A. No, it's not as good as a VTC5, but if you want to use it in an IPV2 or a regulated mod, it will be more than good enough and it's much, much easier to find authentic eFests than Sonys at the moment. The VTC5 is a great battery, but it's really overhyped and unnecessary unless you plan on running super low sub-ohm builds on a mech mod.

\couple quick questions on the ipv2. When i press down the power button, after my initial click when holding it down it makes a small click (electrical sounding) then followed by very light clicking sounds... i want to make sure that's normal... if not how do i use the warranty?
Neither of mine do that, someone earlier in the thread has the same issue. My silver one will make that electrical click once if i fire with no atty attached, but that's it.

Wanted to chime in on the battery sag issue.

I have an ipv2 w a nautilus mini on it at 1.9ohm. Im firing low at like 9watts. I have sony vtc5s that I recived about 5 days ago brand new. My battery doesnt drop when its full, only I get passed 3/4 battery and I fire im getting a drop of almost half of whats left on my battery, then it goes back after firing.
Is this normal w vtc 5s? I bought them yto avoid that kind of sag.

TiA,

TiA,

Ya mine does that also, I don't think its a big issue. Sometimes when its almost dead I can notice it, but I don't notice any difference in performance when the battery sags like that. I don't think its a big deal, even when it sags I can blow clouds if i want to with a dual .9 26 gauge at 30 watts and above. Generally I stay at 24, but I have tried it at 45 and it sags, and it still performs great.

I agree it still performs fine. I just keep hearing "buy vtc5s" "they are the best" " no sag w vtc5s" , yet I buy 2 of them to use and im sagging at 7 watts or 9 watts if the battery is at 3/4 full.. so im jus confused I guess. I get half sag of whatever capacity my battery is at on those low settings... I tried going up to 30 just to see and I get massive sag.

Ya I think its unavoidable. I actually thought it sagged less with my AW IMR 1600s. I'll buy some batteries and experiment.

Everyone say a high performance battery 1600 mah or above you want tested, I'll buy them from a reputable source if they are in stock, and make videos of battery sag on each of them.

No problem, I have no idea how far back it is, or if it was on this thread or the other, but if you can find it someone put up a chart explaining why it made that noise.

No takers on the battery experiment so far?
I definitely bought mine from a reputable dealer in washington. They have a bunch of stores. Did the fake checks and tested voltage. Mine are definitely authentic. I tbought they mightve been fake given the sag but thats not the case...

I will buy some others and test too.
Thankds for confrrming my troubles.
I live in WA also, are you talking about ecig n vape?
If you are in Western Washington and ever get the chance, stop by total vape in federal way on 320th St right off the freeway, best store I have ever been too. Huge, and very knowledgeable employees
That's the C rating I was talking about earlier, so for your 3400 the c rating was 2, then you break the 3400 mah into amps which is 3.4and multiply it by C rating, so 3.4 * 2 (the c rating on your other battery) and thats where i got your batteries continuous amp reading of 6.8
So for a VTC5 it would be 2.6 * 15= 39 amps, if it actually does have a C rating of 15
OK so we have
1. VTC5

Try both the LG HE2 and Samsung 25R. There's been a ton of threads on both batteries, especially the samsung 25R on a few vape and flashlight forums. The samsung in particular has been performing very well in terms of voltage sag and holding the mid range voltage. Just a thought.

Efest 35A 2100mAh
Efest 20A 3100mAh

Double edit:
abrb701, you missed the LG HE2 that TheKiwi mentioned.

Lol do not use the Efest 20A 3100mAh.

There's a massive thread on ECF with links to test results. The ratings are ridiculously overstated. Apparently that particular battery goes berserk once you pull more than 6.5 or 7 amps.

On the other hand, the purple Efest 35A is also only a 20A continuous and 35A pulse rating. Yup
