just for the heck of it tonight i took two strands of 28ga Ni and twisted it in my drill and did 12 wraps on a 3/32 bit on my ipv4 and it came out @.086 and she fired just fine, actually mighty tasty at 30 watts (joules).....twisting the Ni made it pretty tough did it on a helios.

also put some blk textured rubber sheeting on my battery cover, the kind that peels off with glue on the back and it made it nice and easy to grip and don't look to shabby either.

(off topic) on another note i did my first soldering job today, soldering my ground wire on my HC DNA30 V3, now it works perfect, yes i tinned my iron first.....sorta reminded me of brazing back in the day.

I'm pretty sure the mirror finish was to hide the shoddy state of the body and screen underneath, I wouldn't be surprised if they threw a mirror finish on the actual production models.

A darkened finish would also hide any abnormalities in design. From the looks of the pictures it looks like they are using a screen cover similar to the IVP Mini 2 Limited Edition. But, you are correct, production units could be different.

IF you go to the Yihi website none of the SX330 version chips state that. It's stated that the lowest resistance is .10 ohms up to 1.0 ohms in TC mode.

Have you made a coil that meets what you're stating and tested it? If so, please post the results with screenshots.

I have. If you look a few pages back you will see my build and my screen. I have also built a .049 ohm coil in nickel and can confirm it will not fire below .05, the sx330 runs at .05 ohm and higher in temp control mode.

Yihu updates their chips multiple times after putting the specs up on their website. Often they do not update the specs to reflect the updated capabilities of particual chips.

Got a single coil .12 ohm 3mm ID 28ga going in one of my Derringers. 50J 415F, very nice vape. Works much better than the rDNA I had. Glad I picked one up. The mirror finish hasn't been a problem for me yet but if it is I'll just watch one of the YouTube videos and polish off a rectangular section over the screen.

Uhh am I the only one that got shipping info for my black one from gearbest? It finally left for the US today so hopefully I'll have my black one soon. It just seems weird that literally no one is mentioning gearbest at all.
I ordered black from them also and it left the Netherlands 2 days ago. I almost guarantee its silver with black battery cover.

Got mine today and have a big problem with the temp control. Put on my smok gct tank with the 0.2 nickel coil. Set resistance which read 0.239 and under 400 degrees is fine but set it above 400 degrees and fire for more than a second and it stops firing and says short on he screen. Doesn't matter if it's on 30 joules or 50

Since nickel is a soft wire, when heated it has a tendency to "relax" or sag. It may just be that since you're using a "factory made" coil that it's defective and shorting out internally.
Try changing the coil head and see if that fixes the issue. Do you have access to an RTA or RDA? Build your own coil and see if the issue occurs again.
That's the only way to really verify if it's the MOD or the factory coil.
Perhaps you did one of the DIY coil setups that Smoktech offers for it. If you did check to see if the coil is touching the outer part.

I've been vaping on and off with the same Atlantis nic coil in my FreeMax Starre tank for the past 5 days and no issues so far. I've been messing around with the joules and temp with the same juice to find that semi-warm vape I like and found 35J at 520F, reading at 0.189 suits my taste. Stupid question but do you have another coil to try? Have you tried a nickel rda build yet?
