I loved the aero tanks and the iclear 30 and 30s and still have and use them but the game changer for me at the time was the Kanger Subtank Mini. When I first got one of those that was it for me.

I had some of the iclear 30's but I vape a heavy vg and those things would not wick my ejuice.

Sub tank mini, I got some. I use the protank coils or rather mt3s coils in them. They get a little gurgly sometimes but I put a upside down cup seal on top and that fixes them right up most of the time.

Protank with aero base, aero tank, both with upgraded dual coil and sub tank mini with mt3s coil are what I use everyday.

That air flow control base fixed a bunch of issues for me.

Never had airflow till they came out. Was a revolution. I mainly stick with 50/50 so wasnt an issue for me.
I remember getting the RBA coil for the subtank and thought does it get any better than this lol.

When the pro tank came on the scene, I settled in and stopped chasing the next best thing.

Therefore, now, I just lurk because I doubt very seriously anybody vapes the tank etc that I do cause it's a oldy but goody so there is not much for me to chat about

There are more of us who still have various ProTanks and AeroTanks in our rotation. They're not my main or only tanks, but I still use them. I've also met several old-time vapers who rarely post on here who use them, and the Evods, as their only tanks. I still think they give a decent vape, too.

Kanger Subtank mini was a game changer alright. Such a versatile tank to boot. One could use premade coils and RBA.

Right. I use mine too, and when I want a true MTL vape, KSM with Aspire BVC coils can't be beat. ;)

I have somewhat fond memories of my old EVODs. They were my very first vape set up. Don't think I would care to use them now, but at the time I thought they were pretty amazing.

When Evods were first introduced, many vapers found them to be intolerably airy and the advice often given here was to stick a toothpick in one of the airflow holes. BTDT.

My preferred clearo first...was the little bitty, disposable Vision Nano clearos that I used on my JoyeTech 510 cig-a-like batteries. Then came Evods on eGo-T 1100mAh batteries, and finally the Innokin 16D (my preferred clearos and coils) on eGo-Ts and iSticks. Moved on from them to ProTanks, AeroTanks, GS Airs, Aspire K1 and K2, etc. I still have a supply of all of them, except regular Evods, in my stash, along with boxes of coils for them.

The Evod Glass clearomizers that came out after the regular Evods...have several improvements (changeable drip tip, glass tank protected by metal, and uses a dual coil. The vapor from them is actually pretty good, even when compared to some more modern tanks. I have 2 local friends who each use Evod Glass clearos, Zenith D22 tanks, and Eleaf GS Air clearos. They've wiped out most of my stash of the Evod Glass though. Think I'm down to only 4 or 5 left.

I don't remember the EVODs that I used having air holes. Just a metal tank thing and a little battery that screwed onto it.

They did. Three microscopic holes at the base. You can clearly see one of them in this picture:

Wow, I used those things for a couple of years and I am not sure I ever noticed them before!

That's probably because you were not an ECF member at the time? We notice, debate, and evaluate everything, including microscopic holes. ;)

True. 6 years ago I didn't know what the hell I was doing. Come to think of it, I still really don't know what the hell I am doing!

Back on topic. :thumb: I ordered my first kit (GreenSmoke) in December 2009. While I was waiting for my package to arrive, I found ECF. I knew I needed help. This forum has been a godsend. I don't believe I'd become a vaper without ECF. Period.

Well I know that I am glad I joined up. I think I have only been on here for a little over a month. In that short time, I have received a tremendous amount of great advice, tips, and encouragement. And everyone I have interacted with have seemed genuinely friendly and interesting to converse with.
