Is mech/unregulated more enjoyable?

Yep. I don't use mine much anymore, but I won't give 'em up either.
I have a tendency to randomly send things that I don't use much anymore to people I don't really know. Its fun . Some of those things I miss....like my cyclones. Hopefully the recipients are enjoying them and they didn't go straight to eBay. Regardless, random acts of kindness are what will force the gatekeeper to ignore a few wrong turns.

I still keep my hex ohm and a couple of mechs. But really, with some of the very high power regulated mods there's no longer need for that. If you build carefully and mind your battery, your protuding pole, and your ohms, you might find a slighter oomph in the beggining with a fully charged battery. But if you get a regulated mod with output profiles or curves, you won't miss a thing. On a 3 battery mod you'll get 5v, something you'll never get on a mech.

I suspect that regulated mods give people a false sense of security.
Yep!

I feel much safer on a Mech for I'm responsible for my own safety, not some chip installed in a Mod on a mass assembly line in a Factory by someone earning slave wages.

Nope, many of us Mech users find a good Mech provides a much better Vape which is why we prefer them.

Wow, I didn't think this thread would have that many answers, maybe the title was a bit clickbait :D

I understand the safety concerns, and the various things that could go wrong when using a mech. As I said, I've done my homework thoroughly, I know probably all there is to know about ohm's law and battery safety, I picture (with more or less accuracy and details) how they operate internally, and I understand how respectful and cautious one has to be when dealing with them.

This is not really what this post was about though.
I'm glad you all are still concerned, as I don't have a mech yet, getting warnings and reminders is a good thing, and would have make a less informed newbie more cautious about it all, so yeah, even this pro-anti-not-not-anti-mech war was a good thing, all things considered!

So, after some thoughts, the mech Pulse BF will most certainly be my next purchase, and yeah, I'll try and not blow my hand and mouth off with it!

Hummm... If you told me you had a full copper, direct contact, magnetic switch mech you were addicted to, I would understand. But, seriously, the moment you put on the battery you're vaping well below what most regulated mods can do. I think this has to do with nostalgia, and I'll understand it better.

Two words:

Series Mech

Now I personally don't need, want, or use one. But thinking that you can get more power from any particular cell or combination of multiple cells with a regulator board is incorrect, because no regulator board is 100% efficient.

I'm old....I'd be ok with a halfabattery mech. o_O

although not everybody needs to vape at a hundred bizillion watts
Exactly.... anyone needing anything over 50 bizillion just needs to learn how to build more efficient coils....or they're just showing off. :D

A mech is more like a small revolver compared to a sleek semi-auto 9mm/10mm handgun. Some like the reliability and sleek size of a pocket carry revolver, but you can get 15 or 16 rounds into a 9mm (multi-battery mod), and you give up the ease of convenient pocket carry. A mech is more like an S&W Chief Special revolver, small size with a cylinder.

They all have their individual merits.

Recently I bought the Aromamizer Titan, and while I was at it, I thought "what should I pair it with?", because of the enormous 40,5 mm of width. I was watching VapinFagan and saw the two mods he was using it with. One, the Hammer Of God 4 18650 mod and the Laisimo 360. I ended up buying both mods, since I didn't have a 4 battery mod either. The HOG puts out 8,4V unregulated. The three coil build on the Titan came out to 0.12 ohms (it's a great configuration, two coils, even low, are too little). Puts out three times the vapor of an humidifier, and it's absolutely UNVAPABLE with the HOG. Next I'll build a little higher, but I think the HOG will just be a show piece. Ah! I keep the Titan in the "shortie", 18ml mode, so the chimney is much shorter, and the vape very hot.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm done building coils a long time ago. I usually pick up at Fasttech premade coils, and you can find whatever your heart desires at ridiculous prices. Just pop them in, clip the leads, and off you go. The only ones I make are high diameter coils for special applications.

Vaping is all about personal opinions & preferences, no reason for anyone to get their undergarments all bunched up because someone else's differs.
Whatever method blows your skirt up is the one you should use.
Exactly, it's not a religion ;)

Me my 41mm Voltrove pretty much lives on the HOG
