Ultimately it should come down to what is best for each of you and what you are looking for in a mod. I can't speak to the MVP, as I do not own one, but I can say that I have never regretted purchasing my provari and feel I got more than my money's worth. In 2 years, I can't even tell you how many disaster's have befallen it, including falling off a cliff and having an entire glass of milk spilled on it (thanks cat), and it still functions perfectly today. It's what works for me and it's quality is well worth the price in my opinion.

That being said, there are a lot of quality mods with varying features and aesthetics that will work just as well. I've also never regretted purchasing my husband his used Silver Bullet, as what worked best for him was a mod built like a tank without any frills that he could take to work. So hopefully your friend is purchasing a Provari because he really feels it's best for him, because part of the great thing about vaping is finding the products that fit you and help you to really enjoy it.

Ultimately these are just batteries. The Provari is built very well, but it operates just like any other VV/VW mod. Put the same topper on a Provari and an MPV, set both to the same voltage/wattage, and there is absolutely no difference in performance.

The difference is entirely on build quality and longevity. The MVP should be considered disposable since you cannot replace the batteries while the Provari will last for years and years.

Now, as for what is King, there is only one King I know of in the vaping world.....

This, times 1K. I remember looking through a vaping forum a year or so ago and the attitude was so elitist and, quite frankly, douchey that it delayed my switch. Every third post was about some 'n00b' with his 'cigalike,' condescension dripping off the screen. I'm glad I found this forum and gave it a shot. Use the equipment you can afford and that you enjoy. Upgrade if something isn't working for you, or you try something out and it enhances the experience. Otherwise, don't try to keep up with the Joneses!

Oh here we go.... I disagree with the "elitist" statement. But, I'm aware that we have that stereotype here. Vape what you like and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It's for you - not them.

We're in violent agreement here. My 'elitist' comment was in regard to another forum, the name of which I don't even remember. This group was friendly, inclusive and extremely helpful, hence my switch from lurker to member today. :toast:

It's your money spend how you want. But for myself, I don't want a mod collection as many do, I wanted a one and done solution for my vaping. So I bought a Provari, then 2 months later I bought my second.

Exactly the same with me. No more though (unless one breaks and then...okay). :)

I have a Provari and love it. I am kind of klutzy and have dropped it a few times and it still works fine, so that is a plus for me. Also, if anything goes wrong with it Provape folks will fix it. Another plus. I still use my vv3, also because there are things about it that I like. AND, I just bought an Evod Twist from FastTech because it is pink and I thought pink would be fun. Really, as long as you are getting a decent vape and not smoking, it doesn't matter all that much what you use to get there. Yes, my Provari does have more vapor and more taste but there is a place for whatever anyone wants to use--all roads lead to the same place (no more cigs!!).:vapor:

I purchased a VTR as my first VV upgrade from my egos...and I loved it for the entire 13 and 1/2 weeks it worked. Inookin could not / would not help me and there is absolutely no way to purchase replacement parts. My next purchase was a pair of provari mini twins (with extras) used from the classifieds. I like knowing if anything ever goes wrong with either of them I have customer support and inexpensive repairs available. I work too hard for my money to buy items that will not last, quality is always my first choice even when I have to buy used.

My father loves the MVP2 I got him for christmas. If you like what you have no reason to replace it till it dies. Watch the classifieds if you decide to go with a Provari

Maybe jumping ahead - haven't read the thread, but you can order a provari on www.provape.com.
CLick on Products, choose a product, scroll down and "add to cart".

(3) Where the heck could I buy a ProVari if I wanted one? I Google "ProVari", and even "Buy ProVari" and the entire first page of search results direct me to the ProVape website, several reviews and several forum threads. If the ProVape website has an online store, I haven't been able to find it. I go to "Ordering Info" on their site and read the first paragraph: "If you would like to place an order, it is highly recommended that you use our secure online shopping cart and payment system. You can conveniently order online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week knowing that the information you enter is safe and protected." OK, so ... where? I've found no link to "The ProVape Online Store" anywhere on their site.
