Is Provape in danger of becoming like Blackberry?

Lol,

I have to give you Kudos for the time you spent on that post...

The P3 will go like hotcakes - and I'm sure you'll be posting disparaging comments in Provari threads for many years to come.

The Iphone 6 isn't out yet - no one has bought one of those either but I get the feeling they may sell a 'few'.

...

the complexity involved in engineering the software+hardware in an iPhone is 1,000x of what is involved in a battery tube.

if Provape was Apple, this is what the iPhone 6 would look like.

Grow up.

Thank god we've got an 'ignore user' option on the forum - it means not having to put up with the inane drivel from people who don't know what they're on about.

One thing we don't really know is how much batt life played into the decision. Provari's have a rep for good batt life and I'm sure they would want to keep that as part of the design balance. Also, high watt box mods are starting to run 2 batts in series to get good enough voltage to boost up to 30+ watts reliably. That's hard to do in a relatively compact tube design unless you use 18350 batts. My emech is one that uses series batts instead if parallel.

it's AMAZING! that a company can deliver voltage from a battery to a 510 connection.

I don't really get it (after reading well over 100 posts).

Buy what you like. If you don't like Provari, don't spend all that money to buy one. Spend it on something that fits your vaping preferences. This conversation is a lot like talking down about the Mercedes E350 luxury sedan because it won't go hunting and mud bogging. Who cares?

Many car makers may never market a monster 4 wheel drive pickup. Do we really care? Probably not. The big 3 automakers cover that ground quite nicely. We can have a nice family car and a monster off road vehicle without trying to fit all that into one body and the world seems to be happy with that.

Just curious ... how many here would spend $350 if Provari P3 had a 30 watt VW mode? Is that something mech vapers would buy or is it a moot point? Would we then scoff because it didn't go to 99 watts?

ETA: I probably won't jump for the P3 and that's because I jumped for the V2. I have to wear it out first and that hasn't happened in over 2 years. Dang thing just keeps on vaping like it did on day one. ;)

they won't sell any at that price point.

I don't think $200+ is unreasonable for a nice mech or $100+ for a quality atomizer, but no one (outside of their fan club) is going to pay $350 for a battery tube limited to 20w.

sell it for $230 with a 35w or 40w limit and they'll fly off the shelves. even the fan club will like it (just as they'll like variable wattage).

speaking of BMW, just imagine if Provape ran that company.

Here's what I'm wondering: ProVape folks are careful and not dumb, and they might have a clue that incoming US regulations will limit or outlaw sales of high wattage devices. Also, I imagine they want to stay at the nexus of "US made" + "it just works" + "consumer safety" + "hardwearing dependability and performance" and realize that for some segment of the vaping community they will never be a viable option because those sub-ohm (etc.) upgrades are coming fast and furious and every two or three months the latest Huge Big Deal is made obsolete by the New Huge Big Deal (20 watts!, 30 watts!, 50 watts!, 100 watts!), and that's not the demographic they are targeting. I think they are after the mature, more or less well-heeled, built-for-comfort-not-speed types... like me. Except for the well-heeled part. :) This is not a bad consumer market to cater to at all as a business model, really, and no manufacturer needs to be all things to all people. Viva la concorrenza!

First, I rather doubt it will cost $350. That's basically double what a 2.5 costs.

But no, mech vapers wouldn't buy 'em. Mech vapers already scoff at DNA 30 devices.

Well I am done reading these threads ordered a Seigeli 30watt a few days ago $70 to go along with my Seigeli 20watt and I can use my 26650 VariTube on either one. Wanted a P3 but not willing to wait and not willing to drop big bucks on a flashlght tube with power adjustments. Enjoy your P3 i am jealous

P.S. I am able to donate $100 a month to Vapers Rights Advocacy ORG's like CASSA-SFATA-The Militia- VistaTruth so I can still read cool threads like this in 2 -3 years
