What makes no sense to me are the folks who did successfully quit using an MTL, high-nic style and later switched to a DL style at lower nic levels;
My vape path was kinda like that. After a year of mtl and 14 cigs which I count as quit, I was tired of the tight draw, you would probably think I was just trying too hard. But I like a lungful, that's how I smoked, and the mtl tanks were not holding up to smoking for me well enough. It wasn't a danger of going back to smoking or the nicotine amount, I'm kind of compulsive and like to chain vape you know like whenever possible, so I had to drop down to 9 and actually was happy with 6 because it was enough for me and the juice tasted better when it spit at me lol. I came across a kanger subtank and ran .5 coils at 23 watts and thought that was amazing. It was easy and smooth and tasty too. I got a few other sub ohm drop in coil tanks and mods to support them occasionally, wasn't about pushing the limits but I did go pretty far. Now I build mostly around .25 on an aromamizer plus, 75 watts, and keep the airflow wide open. There's an arms race between airflow and vapor heat, coil or vape gets too hot, more air, too airy, more wattage lol. It works though, trust me. Too much air is not my thing because then the cloud is not as dense and therefore not as flavorful. Would be the same on a mtl tank, too much air would make it all thin and wispy, or if your wattage was too low.
But as far as juice, I don't love the idea of going through 25 mls on a day I'm just bummin around the house, but I love the feeling of it going in me and watching it all come out. My vape is like an easy full inhale of breath, but rich and smooth, 3 second drag fills me up enough, and it's not like I'm hitting it as hard as I possibly could with my eyes buggin out, the airflow keeps it nice and cool. I can exhale slow, blow a ring or two and dream of jellyfish.
The heart of it is, I vape for the pleasure of vaping and not nic consumption, so at 3mg I can vape as much as I want without overdoing it, which I have been prone to do in the past.
