How do you guys organize all this stuffs? I have bottles that are steepers and bottles i love and bottles i like and hate. I have 8 tanks with juice in them and some are drying. How many tanks do you keep juice in to get through the day? I keep moving all this stuff around trying to give it a home here away from kids and in the shade and it keeps out growing that space lol. Its taking over my kitchen. I already have come across bottles i have forgotten about and ive only been collecting a few months,i think i need help.....o_O Oh didnt even mention the diff 12mg,6mg and the 0mg in this bunch!

Breezy, I think all are slightly different, according to their idea of the hobby/smoking cessation.
View media item 428674This sits on my desk. Since I don't use my keyboard shelf, I have a shallow box that I keep rebuilding stuff in.

My spare hardware is in open-topped boxes in a couple of four drawers. Kinda like DoctorJ. Vaping, as a developed hobby, does create a lot of "gear".

Juices are defined by initial steeping, partial steeping, current use, and needs more steeping. They stay separated. The current use group is further broken down by breakfast (stronger), day use, and evening drip (weak nic). Basically, a lot of little groupings in cardboard boxes except current. By the picture, you can see what is currently supporting a topper. The topper sits in the front row and the juice bottle is just behind.

I also have a Tupperware box in the car and I have two larger travel (tool boxes with many sections) that are maintained.

I started at 36mg and my day use juices are transitioning from 6 to 3mg. Once I am at 3mg, my evening dripping will be 1.5mg. Not sure why other than that I think a touch of nic can have benefits.

Am I OCD or just a hobbyist...??

I have traveled my own enjoyable journey through various mods (multiples of certain types). I've off-loaded some of them to vapers who are getting started on their own journeys. When I like something, I like to have at least a couple - to rotate so I'm not pounding through just one at a time. I have lots of tanks - easy for loading up any one of my numerous juices that I can make whenever and however I want....

I've probably spent as much on vape-related goodies as I would have on cigarettes, but most all this stuff will last considerably longer than a pack of cigarettes.

This is a hobby for me; I enjoy tinkering and finding things to try out.
I did the same thing with the backups... I liked the nautilus so I got 4 or 5 split between the regular and mini sizes. Then a Mutation X for my first dripper and I got 3. Then a Subtank Mini so I bought 3. Then the Troll RDA and I bought 3, but the last 2 were only 16 bucks each, which I thought was a real steal I couldn't pass up. I like the Subox so much I want another but I might wait for the spring loaded pins.

I just created my first media album and the permissions were wrong. I hope all can see my simple 2x4 on top of a 2x8 stand above.

I forgot to say that my kids are grown and I have no grandkids so safety is not a huge priority, BUT, I have three cats. One likes to steal the cotton. I open the tops on new bottles on an upper shelf, though.

I may not be getting started but you can offload some this way if you desire ;)

Your physical body will more than likely last a lot longer as well.

A bag of mostly one-off DIY juice...

A box containing my ADVs in 250ml and 120ml bottles, and other miscellaneous juice in smaller glass bootles

Right now everything is in zip lock bags and boxes because I am temporarily relocated and I want a Vape Hutch or a Vape Room, or better a Vape House :)

If I showed you all my boxes and bags of vape stuff then it would be more difficult to maintain the Denial

Gosh!! I have never seen so much liquid in my life.... Looks shweeeeeeeeeet.

I am still waiting for my vaping to slow down to the point that I save money vs smoking. Well, in reality I probably have, especially over the last year. I go through spells where I'm all into vaping. I'm a tinkerer by nature and enjoy building coils, ordering parts to change the look of my tanks or mods and things like that. Yes, I'm a Fast Tech junky. There are long stretches of time though where I'm bored with all the tinkering around and I find myself vaping my unflavored base in my Kayfun type attys. I went through my "Vaping" folder in my email yesterday and deleted all those old purchase recpts and shipping notifications. That was a real eye opener. I've went through a ridiculous amount of stuff.

THAT is what happens over a long cold winter when you spend $600 on flavorings and waaaaay too much time reading the big TFA thread in the DIY eJuice section, and you have a bad case of OCV :)

But the good news is that, in theory, each of those 15ml bottles cost me 35 cents or less to make (mostly 10ml samples to make the math easy) :) I have to try do dig up some pics when it was all fairly neatly arranged in a kitchen cabinet. When I want something different to vape, I just dig through that bag until something strikes my fancy like "oh... haven't tried that since I sampled it!"

I am still in the "early" tinkering stages of mixing my own..... When I first started and was purchasing pre made liquids, I did not like the expense and so looked into the DIY and glad that I did. Since there were so many variables involved, I decided to take one variable, or component, at a time and so I set out to get my nicotine levels correct for whatever power I was using........ Like most newbies at that time I was using WAY too much nicotine and getting myself sick. I now know what levels to use for whatever setup or power levels I am using. I next went on to tinkering with the PG ratio because at first I either had my juices too harsh or not harsh enough for my liking. Now, I have moved to the flavor aspect of the liquids and have been experimenting with them. I have also been mixing some of my juices with zero flavoring.

I hope more folks on this thread post more photos because I love looking at everything.

I didn't put that much thought into it, LOL. I started at 24mg in EVOD type tanks and eGo batteries. I started DIY about 4 months after I started vaping because I was tired of going to a B&M and spending $40 on juice every week or 10 days or whatever it was back then. And I was buying cheap juice at $10/oz or $5/15ml but I thought it had very weak flavor. (I ended up a High Flavor Mix kind f guy). I bumbled around with single flavor mixes, which did not generally work well except TFA Strawberry & Cream and Banana & Cream, since they were already working toward a good fruit/cream/sweetener mix (but only a part way there). And I played with my PG/VG ratio, I think I started at 50/50 since that was my cheap juice ratio and slowly worked my way toward the VG end. And along the way I steadily dropped my nic from 24 to 3mg now, partly because of adding power to the vape equation.

So then I went into that B&M and paid a whopping 7 bucks for 15ml of Charlie Noble's Neptune's Nectar (which is a house brand actually, of a local B&M chain but they also sell it online and it's got a little following here). That is supposed to be a Banana, Strawberry Cream and I really liked that juice but I was not paying the freight, and I was playing with DIY. At that point I found the TFA thread I guess in the DIY section and started searching for a clone of that, something that gave me the thick creamy taste I liked so much. I never did find a clone, and I've never found a direct clone thread on the net for that flavor, but I found many other flavors I liked, mostly Bill's Magic Vapor recipes since he was a primary contributor and he used almost all TFA, minimizing the flavors I needed and keeping my flavor costs down (more than if I started buying everything from every flavor maker chasing random recipes.

That Charlie Noble juice is generally around 68-70% VG so I noted that I liked the higher VG, which got me going in that direction....

As I went through that process I quickly learned that I like a VG heavy juice, and now I find 50/50 kind of irritating, especially unflavored. Most of my flavored recipes are about 30% flavoring, with about 3mg nic and rest VG, so very close to 30/70. Lately I've been vaping pure VG with 1 or 3mg VG, from a dripper, at 30-45W. Next I'm going to try very light flavoring of the unflavored, like a drop or two of spearmint or something else per 10ml batch, or something along those lines. I think if I can develop a taste for unflavored it will save me a lot of time and money, and surely lesser is better whatever the Ultimate Truth is regarding flavoring. I'm not hung up on flavor safety and I don't go out of my way to avoid diketones but I do respect the unknown, as I think you know by now :) Surely lesser is "better" at least in a psychological sense, given all the propaganda we have to deal with.

I'm also putting more effort into the art and science of stealth vaping, and unflavored is an important ingredient there, as well as the PG/VG mix. It's a shame I don't like high PG mixes.

I think it is a very gratifying part of the hobby that I know EXACTLY what is in my juice and I vape EXACTLY what I want at any moment. And I make it for the least cost possible (my OCV flavor accumulation habit aside!). And I'm always tinkering around the margins as I see new ideas here, like the idea of that touch of spearmint and other light flavorings.

It's kind of weird (not really weird but kinda neat) because I seem to have the exact same preferences as you do. When I am just vaping regular (not cloud chucking) I tend to mix my juices so that there is a higher VG. I often use 70% VG but occasionally I will drop down to 60% VG if I'm in the mood for what I call a "torch vape", or a larger throat hit. Like yourself, I usually stay around 30-40w... If I am cloud chucking then I will use 80%VG or above and amp up my power.

Aren't most long time vapers high VG? Seems that way, just thinking about the DIY threads and whatnot. Maybe most is too specific but I think high VG is very popular. Lots of discussion in DIY about maxing out VG, and etc.

You may be right about that as I don't have a clue...... I have visited a couple of other areas on this forum but haven't really studied as many things on this site as I should be......... My excuse I suppose is that I am usually very busy and don't spend the time there. For some reason I always go to the new members area. It would sound logical though that long time vapers would prefer higher VG but I suppose even some of those have varied preferences. I don't really know but it's an interesting thought.
