Is vaping all you need?

Vaping only, or do you still need/crave tobacco?

And yes, its odd how terribly embarassed people are for still having analogs. Of course it is nice to be without them, but where if not here do people understand quite so well that it's not exactly easy to stop using those? I myself never even tried to stop them altoghether, although I did make a few attempts to reduce.

i agree. i try to stress, when a friend tries out vaping, that i don't even think they SHOULD try to 'quit' smoking, they should just try vaping.

i voted that i have quit tobacco but still occasionally crave. i think i'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't experienced a need for the 'something else', simply because my times of craving have been during times of intense, acute stress. probably purely psychological, and when i vaped instead of smoking at those times the craving did diminish. i'm hoping that over time i'll associate vaping with stress relief to the point that even those extreme circumstances won't make me want a cig. but if not, i don't really mind having one cigarette every few months. compared to a pack and a half a day? i consider that success. :D

I have given up smoking and I am not missing it at all. I have been an occassional snuff user for years and have never really intended to quit using it. I thought I would start using it more to compensate but if anything I use it a little less often. I have always enjoyed snuff but it's usually just a party thing with me, when I need a little late night pick me up while drinking. Call it an eye opener.

I smoked and vaped at the same time till the number of analogs I smoked went from a pack a day to one a day. When I used up my last pack of analogs at how I swore to myself that I would never buy another and I have not.

I have not smoked for about 5 month now, but sometimes still felt that I was missing something in taste now and then. That is until I got my juice box! Wow, talk about flavorful! So now everytime I get that feeling I will just grab my juice box and cure the urge.:D

I have been vaping for almost 8 mos. now and am doing well with only. However, I must still crave them every once in a while b/c just two days b4 my 6 mo. smoke-free (never even cheated once) sub-goal, I had a family tragedy and bought a pack of cigarettes and smoked the whole pack over a 4-day period. I don't think I'll ever do that again, as the flame ......ant they now put in cigs really destroyed the tobacco flavor.

I stopped smoking analogs finally after almost a year of mixing vapes with smokes.

I find that I get different things from each. Analogs calm me when I am stressed while vapes do not. Or, not as effectively.

I also do not get the social smoke feeling when drinking with friends if I'm vaping, and I like that feeling.

I never picked up my PV as a means to quit smoking but it has greatly reduced my smoking, mainly because I like it more. I'm convinced I get more nicotine vaping (I chain vape 36/mg) than I do from smoking. For putzing around on the computer or reading a book, I prefer to vape.

So... I don't exactly consider them to be replacements for each other. Different things entirely, each with it's own benefits.

With my first kit I did both, I would smoke and use my egig when I was inside. When my new kit came I fell so completely madly in love with it that I've quit analogs completely. I still have cravings, but I'm only a few days in and I've really only had that urge a couple of times, but my pv fixes that problem lickety split.
