Agreed. Do you know how hard it is to discipline an ADHD child with a time out chair?
While I never took either of my boys over my knees, I had no problem administering a good smack across the behind when absolutely needed - even in public.
I can sympathize 100 percent with having a child with ADHD.
You almost have to go over the top creatively sometimes to get their attention.
Like the time I caught my son for the third time playing his Nintendo DS at 1am.
I smashed it to pieces with a hammer right in front of him.
And before I get a ton of flack from uber left leaning parents, my son had a severe video game addiction which is common with kids with ADD, ADHD. So much so that he couldnt have a normal conversation with anyone without trying to make the conversation completely about video games. Half the time no one knew what the hell he was talking about.
Even me and I'm a gamer.
That started his road to recovery but ultimately we had to ground him from playing ANY video games for an entire year.
Because we love him.
