I like the draw with out the extension better. Also with it it seems a little un weldie bad spelling. I will try it with my hyper tank to really judge it tomorrow. Lucky for me I am a iclear 30s and protank fan.

The extension is just a mechanical extension to get the 510 connector above the body of the VTR and it also gives you an Ego connector. The VTR operates the same way with or without it although some say there is a difference in draw.
To me the extension isn't something I want to use with the VTR. I like the VTR for the added protection to the tank that the top ring on it provides. Using the extension just puts the atomizer up and out of that protection. The extension does look cool on my Vamo though!

Those will do the job very nicely. My battery preferences are Panasonic, AW then Efest, but only Efest from a reliable dealer, too many fakes out there.
Loving my new VTR couple of questions though and I know it has probably been asked but to go through all the pages and a search did not turn up anything. So, the adapter which makes it nice for the shorter IBTanks ( the XL tanks fit perfect) of course works but I wish there was something a little shorter. I did try just using a airflow controller and this does make it much better as it boosts up the regular size 19mm tank to almost perfect height. Has anyone found anything that is just a tad taller than say a ariflow controller?
That and I see that we have some 18650 3400 MaH batteries here at home would the 3400 be too high you think? I do have the 2000 Mah that are aw imr and I do use those. I was just curious about the 3400 but I figured I had better ask first lest I blow myself up

I can't answer your question about an adapter. Worst case, use two air flow adapters. I use Protank 2s on mine with a long drip tip. Works out fine for me anyway.
If the 3400s can supply enough current, figure a five amp draw, they will work out just fine. IMR is probably a better idea, known current capacity, but there should be no problem IF the 3400s can supply enough current. I say that because they may be protected, current limited, batteries. You didn't mention what brand and model, so it's hard to be more definitive.

You might want to see if longer drip tip makes the regular-sized tank practical to use.
Innokin recommends using only IMR batteries.
From the first page of the user manual:

AW is a very high quality 2000 mAh IMR battery.
Thanks for the info. Yes I do have the aw imr I did research to know I should have that. I was just curious if anyone had used anything higher than 2000. I will see about getting a drip tip that is a little longer. Thanks again for the info

You can use any "mah" battery, 2000mah 3000mah 4000mah whatever it doesn't matter. The "mah" is how much energy is stored in the battery, which determines how long you will be able to use the battery before needing to recharge it. 3000 should last longer than 2000, 4000 would last longer than 3000 and so on.
What does matter is the max current draw/drain which is why they suggest the aw imr batteries. They can safely drain at the 5amps that the VTR requires. So any 18650 battery that can meet the 5amp draw of the VTR can be used. I'm using a panasonic 18650 flat top in mine. I believe it has a 10amp drain and it's 3300mah.

I have a battery question regarding this device. I got this in on Saturday and have been enjoying every second of it. My Innokin VV V3 died on me and this is 1000% what that device was. I was wondering if anyone has had issues with the battery life indicator/display/color thingy? I haven't had anything but a green indicator since getting the device. That is after using the device for about 8 hours (day time not amount of time device is firing).
I am no expert with unregulated batteries and they make me a little nervous. I don't want anything to blow up in my face. I realize this is a regulated device, but does that mean once the battery gets down to 3.4-3.5 volts the device will no longer fire?

My VTR goes into "amber" at about 3.7 volts and "red" at about 3.5 volts. It shuts itself down at about 3.4 volts or a little under. Vape time, how long you are firing the coil, is what counts. I'm a chain vaper and mine goes from green to amber in about three or four hours.
All batteries are unregulated. Some batteries have over current protection built into them. The VTR needs a "non protected" battery, no built in overcurrent protection, battery. If you're using an IMR battery, it is inherently protected by its own chemistry which is designed to mitigate thermal runaway.

Has anyone had a problem with the voltage selection wheel? Mine just stopped working today without any previous sign of issues.

Yep yep, that is where I got mine from! I Have a pretty j-wrap coming for it too.
As far as the "fix" goes with respect to spinning the wheel a few hundred times in order to tighten it enough to alleviate the erratic nature of the Ohm reading; I decided to insert an extra long drip tip into my Kanger ProTank and in turn inserted it into my power drill. Cranked the drill up to high speed and spun the hell out if it (in both directions). Seems to have fixed the problem, we shall see if it holds!
Spinning tightens nothing up, it wears away any machine oil and corrosion that may develop between the outer shell and the "brushes" that supply the electrical contact.
