itaste VTR

The first VTR I had the threads stripped out after dropping it on the tank. I messed up the second one making the ring fit the iClear 30b fit the ring and circumcised it. My third one, with the fixed base, is unmolested.

The one with the stripped threads still works if I use the extension tube. I have a 91% Russian coming from SlowTech, Im hoping it has enough thread to work with the ring and top clearanced from the circumcised VTR to work. Otherwise I may try the teflon tape or J&B Weld option.

I love the form factor and weight of the VTR. I have no problem buying a fourth VTR and swapping the circumcised top in order to use the 91% Russian.

Folks like you are why I thought the generic airflow adapter would help protect the threads on my NEW VTR with turning 510 base. So Thanks :)

SlowTech started my morning off.:lol: :D

Dripping on the VTR.

The design of the v1 (with rotating 510) allows air to be drawn through the device to the bottom of the 510 connection through two slots. I'm pretty sure v2 doesn't have them, but instead has grooves cut in to the top of the 510 base.

the v1 is superior in this regard. I think it's the reason Protanks have such an airy draw on these when people find them to be too tight of a draw on other mods.

Regarding the electrical smell, that really sucks. :(

This device has slowly lost my credibility. First model had rotating threads, eventually stripped out....Revised model draw was tight, but managable with adding an aircontrol to preserve threads and fix the draw issue. Now the damn thing smells of an electrical short and doesnt fire.

Seriously?

I would LOVE to see Provape offer a provari in the VTR form factor.... My god would I. I'm dealing with all the VTRs foibles because of the form factor, look, etc. Dammit :)

My VTR II is on the way and should arrive on Tuesday but my supplies are shipping out Monday from FT and who knows when I'll get them. It's going to be tough to have a VTR and nothing to fire it up with. I may just not open the package up so I don't have to look at it, knowing I can't vape from it yet.
Anyone have the holster? If so, how bad does it flop around from being attached to a belt? Looks like the belt loop is awful big. I wanted the vegas style one but it doesn't come with a button snap strap over the top of the VTR and I'd be too afraid that it'll fall out while I'm at work. And at 49.00 it's not worth risking a purchase to find out if the holster is tight enough to hold the VTR in place.
So there's air flow issues with the VTR II? They get rid of one issue (spinning wheel) just to make another problem? I hope I don't have to start filing on my new one...that wasn't in the plan.

There's no airflow problems to speak of, at least not on the v2 that I have; someone a while ago (with a v1, I think) posted a comment that there were only (four) air grooves on the v2 base, but did not know there are also two air holes drilled into two of those four grooves (see here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ussion/480134-itaste-vtr-13.html#post12193441). I have no problem with airflow, but then to be fair I only use a Protank 2 with a Kanger Airflow Control Valve aka Aerotank base, so that probably helps, too.
I'd be more concerned about trying to wear a 13-ounce chrome-plated brick on one's belt without one's pants falling down, IMO. I use mine exclusively for desktop use, eh?

Thanks for the info.. I'm going to be using the iclear 30s with it.

I use to be required to wear a full size 2-way radio, which was 3 times heavier than a VTR on my belt...I can live with 13 oz. I just need to find a holster that can secure the VTR so it can't fall out because I work at a plant site that has basins that are filled with waste water and once something goes into one of those tanks, it's not coming back.
