I just got mine and my husband tried it and loved it. He ordered his own. I really like mine. I love the weight of it and the size. The inhale is warm and i like that. I find i go through more ejuice with the dual coil but it feels and taste better than my ego. The ego doesn't compare to the VTR . I haven't tried any others to compare it to.
Edited: Just saw the date on this thread. How do you like the VTR?

Are you sure the screen is scratched rather than the removable plastic protective film they put over the screen?

When I dremeled my VTR ring off and peeled off the transparent tape I wrapped around the VTR I accidentally peeled back the display screen before stopping and being more careful. It still holds, but I guess in the worst case you could just rip it off and replace it with some other sheet of transparent plastic.

Ha ha ho ho there's a film on there? I thought there might be but couldn't catch the edge of it!

I like the mod, mostly the form factor. As for the weight it seems like a brass knuckles, maybe it will offer protection out and about; I wouldn't want to get bonked on the head with one.

I miss the battery voltage display as on the SVD and have accidentally bumped the battery door latch several times where it popped open on me.

There was plastic film on both of my VTRs.

I've not had any issues with the battery door coming open on either of my VTRs but mine stay at home. You might want to contact your vendor if the issue with the battery door persists.

I would prefer having a battery display but it isn't something I miss that much because I swap out batteries in my PVs with each tank.

That's a great tip. I do check the green/yellow/red led above the fire button ocassionally because I change juices sometimes before the tank goes empty.

Been using the VTR for 2 weeks now first 'mod' and i love it..

It does have the dodgy ohm reader though... Sent myepack 2 emails and both got ignored along with the review i posted to the site... laaaaame

cheers

Got mine from Myepack as well. They were being advertised as V2, but I called them straight after making the order and stated I had just ordered 1 and made sure that they knew I was expecting a V2. He asked which I had ordered so told him green one. So he may have nudged whoever puts the orders together and said 'Make sure that's a version 2'. But in fairness they were at time I ordered advertising V2 so maybe they have no more V1 left. I did think though that because I ordered the less popular green, if they were going to have any V1's left over it would be those they had left. You should have called them by phone and spoke to Ash, by all accounts I've heard he has swapped a few of these over after that fault had developed and sent new 1's out.

Got mine and I realy like it. Great thick vapour with the iclear 30s, and I prefer that over the protank2 I was using before. Protank2 used to have bad days where it would gurgle due to bottom coil flooding. Not had this happen once with the 30s. I think I prefer the top coils when you take a hit its warmer and that seems to enhance the flavour of the juice.
I did have one strange occurrence. I fill up the tank once right to the top of the inner tube but when I started to screw the top on I ended up with about 1.5 ml of juice pouring out the centre tube at the bottom. I don't know maybe I tilted it when screwing the top on but it was lot of juice. after grabbing a tissue and wiping the excess of from around the bottom I put it in thinking that's bound to have flooded it. But no, not even that made it gurgle.
Oh and the green one has a textured surface so its not slippery in your hand with all that weight.

Really liking this mod.

Currently looking to purchase the following setup.

Innokin iTaste VTR
18650 Panasonic NCR18650PF (x2)
Taifun GS Rebuildable Atomizer

Looking for a range of Ohm's or if someone has a similar setup I could try out. I'm thinking maybe 1.2 to 1.8 ohm range? I look for Flavor first when vaping. This will be my first RBA, I've read tons of information, but I don't see much on this type of setup.

Thanks

Thats the exact setup I use. Same batteries and all. Works like a dream. If you do go that route I would recommend 30g kanthal. 28g just takes too long to heat up with the vtr. Took me awhile to figure that out. Also look into the kayfun mini, just got it but upon first impression its a performer, maybe better than the gs.

Ok, thanks. I have been looking at the Kayfun Mini also, maybe look weird on the VTR being so skinny. Would have to find some sort of ring type shim. May just buy both, just can not decide....:)

Has anyone tried the bend the ring out to take a Taifun GT or similar tank, cutting the middle of the ring and bending it open more. Instead of cutting off the ring completely. Heat it up and use a mandrel or something to stretch the ring open? Would need to take the top plate off of course.

Part of the issue is that part of the ring closest to the body needs to be ground down as well to make it bigger. so people are just cutting off the ring then grinding down the bit that's left.

I thought about this too! But like Hijack said you need to sand down too much, basically the ring is fixed on 22 mm.
Maybe it's easier to just cut it off, and replace it with a new ring. You could try to cut a box out where the small allen screws are and use those to fix a new ring. Maybe you find something in a hardware shop that would do (a ring with a small plate or something). Or bend some kind of metal (brass?) plate into a ring and fix it to the sides of the top cap. Basically you need a U shaped metal piece with an inner diameter of 22mm. Could look steampunkish :)

Someone increased the inner diameter of the ring to about 21mm or something, but that's as far as it goes I think.

But it doesn't look bad without the ring either.

Guys, keep in mind a larger ring really needs to be larger all the way around to keep the 510/Ego connector centered. Increasing the ring diameter without increasing the curved part of the body all the way down to the connector just ain't gonna do the trick. Just sayin.

Stock, the body diameter is larger than the ring diameter on the top plate. Check the connector wheel at the bottom, it's a lot larger than the ring. I believe some people who have cut the ring off, say that a 22mm -23mm tank still fits centered on the 510 connector. I don't know what the diameter of the connector wheel is??

The 510 connector wheel is 22mm. The base of my flash-e which is 23mm would not fit.

That's good to know, thanks. Do you think it would accommodate a 23mm tank if the side wall of the body was grinded also? Not sure what the wall thickness of the body is, but from a photo I saw, looks like a couple millimeters? So, grinding down a little could work, lots of work tho, and that ring would have to come off. I really love the size and form of the VTR, especially with the lower tank profile.

I considering getting the new eXpromiser Atomizer soon, it's 23mm.
