So about 2 years ago people claimed vaping at 200 would be the norm . Now 200w Mods are rampant but are people really vaping over 200w ?

I know myself Im 80-120w and happy there even though I have 7 mods that do 200w + I have another 12 that do 75-100w .

Dont get me wrong Ive tried and was fine doing over 200w with my rx200s w/tfv8 and ALien w/Limitless XL . It was kinda rough and a waste of juice imo but to all there own .

So do you think there is even a need for all these new 4 battery mods that do over 300w ? I think its stupid and way to heavy / inconvenient. I dont even take my rx200s outside . Maybe it would be different if battery power was different but who really wants to carry 4 18650s and then maybe spares with them .

So maybe really its just the size and batteries are my issue : Discuss

They make them to fire super exotic builds that use tons of metal.

No one runs a simple coil with standard wire at 200watts.

Know your gear.

Edited to add:
Extra points for the Kimbo pic in your av.

I vape between 12w and 60w generally but with my TFV8 with T8 or T10 coils, I vape between 120-140w.

I have vaped at 220w just for fun, but that's nothing I could use regularly. 300-400w is way out of my league even with a crazy fancy build. To each their own.

I DO like extended battery life but a 4 battery mod is too big IMO. 3 battery isn't bad. I used a RX200 with a Kayfun @13w for a while and the batteries lasted for days. Not too big either.

I understand some crazy coil builds but still not what the focus group of mass producing high wattage mods would be . I have fun with my RDA / RTAs , but even hanging out talking to people at Vape shops / Lounges . They like prebuilts or simple Wire Coils. Its an art and not everyone is an artist :p

I need to update my pic as it was like midway through the year .... We have lost so many great people in 2016 :(

In my days as a lighttechnician, i used Martin fogmachines that took 600W-800W. Enough capacity for a small venue. Nice to know that in the near future i can hold similar devices just in my pocket. You never know when it comes in handy, f.e. when attending a venue with a failing fogger.

You may be forgetting that 6000mah means modest builds can be vaped for days without changing/recharging cells.

200w ability is a byproduct.

Corvette owners don't drive at 170mph everywhere they go just because the car will do it.

vettes also are light weight :p make them the weight of a pickup then its less useful . Kinda on how I feel with lugging around a 4 battery mod . I still enjoy single 18650 mods even though my 2 18650 mods are my favorite . THe rx200s is a great mod I bought it enjoyed but it never left my house because of size and weight .

But I must say the Smok gx350 is amazing and blows away the smok marshall 320 both 4 batts

I understand that battery life is useful, but when the mod exceeds the size of a house brick surely it's easier just to carry some extra batteries no?

the dripbox 160w isn't that much smaller than a rx2/300... which is why i was so happy getting the alien 220, sure it's the weight of 2 batteries, but not that much bigger than my kbox 75w mini.

Depends on the situation.
Who says you have to "carry" it?

I dont usually buy "lightweight" anything.
Its just not a big factor in my life.
Time however, is very important to me.
A few ounces mean very little to me.
Im not hiking uphill, and I dont wear the skinny pants.
Lol.

(Full disclaimer: For me, its dual battery mechs. Regulated mods cant survive my workdays, so they stay at home).

Well, I usually vape at about 8 watts. Went all the way up to 13w once...that was exciting.
A blistering 9 watts here. At 1.6 ohms.

You ain't alone... far from it. Hard to find mods for our kind of folks. I once fired up to 50 watts and threw breakers in the house.
