I vape between 12-50W, lol! I'm a part time Tootle with subsidal tendencies I guess.

Ryedan, the Veritas is a fine vape even though I'm an RTA gal.

Its a Sat 22. Not sure if its a clone or counterfeit. No logos or serial number, but I don't know if the authentic has them. It was a $9.90 Focalecig clearance  I said, that will do fine for an experiment. It has pretty good flavor, but dang, is that airflow tight. I may drill it out a bit. I also have pretty bad arthritis so rolling mesh is hard for me.

Not sure I'll buy another genny or not.

Well

If it helps the decision process any, know that the sat is pretty unique for a geni and yea , the original is bad enough but the clones have absurdly small holes get a kraken or rsst if you ever try again. I can also link a vid for quick setup, still have to roll a wick but they usually go for sometime before needing anything.

I played with the sat clone for about 10 minutes and said f that, not even dirkin with it and tossed it on a shelf. I like the deck though so im keeping an eye out for a slightly bigger topcap.

Also, i dont know how good they are but i know several places sell prerolled mesh, probably find em on google

just for S&G I went ahead and made some tiger wire tonight, then used it for a dual coil build on the magma, metered out to 0.6 gonna give it a try for a couple days and see what I think

Sounds like fun Nancy, let us know how it goes. I've stayed away from fancy coil designs so far because I always thought they were probably more hype than anything else, but I have the feeling I may be wrong about that :)

this is just a basic coil just using the tiger wire which is just a twisted of ribbon and regular wire, which I found out about because of one of the guys in here, so figured why not try it being as I have the ribbon, so looked it up and then made enough to coil this. Was a pain to get in tho

That's cool, I live around the Cedar Rapids area. That is relatively close to Chicago. It's in the eastern half of the state anyway. I'd say its about 4 hours from Chicago, 2 hours from Des Moine and 4 hours from Omaha. You will hate it in Iowa. Vaping is still pretty new and B&Ms are popping up, but by density, they are still pretty sparse. Cedar Rapids just got it's first B&M about 2-3 months ago and there is another opening up in like a week or so.

Sorry Nancy, I said 'fancy coil designs' but I was thinking fancy wire designs. A case of fingers not following brain syndrome

I've always used simple, untwisted, round Kanthal at what I used to think of as normal (for me) heat flux numbers of 350-420. Worked very well for me in mechanical mods.

I picked up my Sigelei 150 yesterday and have just started exploring this new to me technology. What I've discovered so far is there is a whole new world at much more wire surface area per watt than I've ever tried before.

I think the tiger wire is headed in that direction. Let us know how it vapes :thumb:

Dual coil 3mm 8 wrap 24 gauge at ~.35 ohms
Hitting it with 6 volts on hexohm V2 and royal hunter

Very clean build Gary :thumb:. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home :)

I have a Mutation X set up with 24 gauge at 0.43 ohms right now that looks very similar to your setup. I'm running it at 4.9V (55 watts). It's the first time I've built bigger coils for a regulated mod and the flavor with this setup is so intense I had to add PG and VG to my DIY juice so it's not too much.

Vape on.
