I actually put the tank on the bottom cap, turn it over and tap them in with a little tool I made. It has a hole in the center, that's just slightly larger than the threads. You have to remember though that I was putting 30 of them together at a time,so I had to come up with something a little quicker. If you use a piece of wood to tap against, you'll be fine. You never want to hammer on the threads directly. The tank itself makes a great spacer to work with, and you won't damage it. That's where it's greatest strength is at. So, for everyone that is interested, I'm upping some pics of my tank with the stainless mesh wick, and a 1.5 ohm kanthal coil. It's a LR ce2 with absolutely no off tastes what so ever.

Here's a pic on my all-day vape set-up. It's an Evercool box mod powered by dual 18650's.

I was just reading back a few pages. No these are not set-up to accept clearo tubes. I only use steel tube ce2's, because the give the whole set-up more rigidity especially when running the maxi tank. You can make clearos work though. You can pull the clearo off and put a left over steel tube on it. It doesn't have to be from a ce2 either. It can be an old atty or cartomizer. The tubes are pretty much an industry standard over in China. The are probably all made in the same factory, then sent to SLB, Boge and the other atty/cart manufacturers.

Wouldn't you have to cut down the atomizer or cartomizer size down in order to get the same effect as a steel CE2?

Also I sent you a PM

After you get the tube on there, you could re-cut it with a tubing cutter to get the same taper effect. That taper really is what makes this work so well when installing the ce2. It helps guide it in without gouging up the hole.

That is interesting, I do have some pre-cuts but will also give that a try.
I just sent another PM to you. Let me know if everything is OK.

I'll tell you this much. Once it's in ..........it's win!!!!
I've got 4 lonely MAP Tanks, sitting on my desk, wondering why their not getting used! Just when you think vaping couldn't get much better, it does!

Pete54, using your method I was able to get my CE2's tapped in and seated. Thanks for your help. After I did it I noticed that Jonboy suggested using the tank turned upside down while tapping the CE2. Maybe I will try that next time. Thanks again for your help. Now that I have it assembled, I too, like it a lot. No leaks, and it does vape nicely. If Jon decides to make some more, I will probably order 2 more. They just might take the place of my other tanks too.

Sorry to hear about the ainako. What happened with the CE2? hangin1 PM me, I still have some tubing material leftover. I can fix ya up buddy. I'm hoping some time in mid July to come out with my 510 atty tank. I just picked up a small CNC lathe and a 3 axis CNC mill, so I can work at home on this project. They are supposed to be delivered next Wed., but it's unfamiliar software so there's going to be a little learning curve involved.

Thats awesome service right there...

My JonBoy tank never leaves my desk, so mine is still in great shape! Haven't needed to get with a lower-resistance, the standard-res is vaping just fine!

Wow is all I can say. I recieved my Tanks and I am very happy with how this works, it vapes great you guys. It was much easier than I thought to install a CE2, and usually I am a clumsy boob at putting things together.

Havent tried to replace mine yet... if you can do it, I hope I can too! Where did you get your replacement CE2s???

Sorry for the late reply but I was at the Ballgame. I had ordered the tanks without the CE2 installed so I had to put one in. Just held it over a hollow hole( like jonboy did) and tapped it in, it was easy. I got them from Drew at Nhaler, he now only have 2.4-2.6 but he is expecting more in a week. I have 2.4-2.6 and the 3.0-3.2 pre-cuts.
