Finally received my black SubTank Mini and holy ....! This blows the ego one tank out of the water!
Hi all...new to this thread and to TC mods. I have a problem...I built a nickel coil for an ST Mini OCC coil. 28 gauge Ni, 8 wraps and it came out to .12. I put it on an eVic-VT at 31.5W and even at 600 degrees the vape is still way too cool. I'm getting plenty of vapor and flavor just not warmth..what do I need to do? Thanks!
Look in a mirror while vaping to see whether or not the vt is going into temp protect mode. It should. If it doesn't, turn up the wattage setting until it does. If it's too hot of a vape or goes burny on you then turn the temp down. I run my nickel occ coils in my STm at 55w and about 530°f.Hi all...new to this thread and to TC mods. Check the Evic's settings. If by chance you are in Ti mode, what you are experiencing is expected. Do make sure you are set in Ni mode.

It's been discussed here. It's very finicky when building on a subtank especially on the version 1 tank.Hi all...new to this thread and to TC mods. Your problem was the occ wasn't wicking fast enough, so tc was hitting too early... Something I've noticed a lot in the occ heads..... Pull out that cotton and throw some rayon in thereI wound up switching it back to the rba. Now, the warmth is as it should be. Thanks all!
Will do! I don't normally use KGD but saw it and decide to use it! Thanks!!Your problem was the occ wasn't wicking fast enough, so tc was hitting too early... Something I've noticed a lot in the occ heads..... Pull out that cotton and throw some rayon in there![]()
Thanks! I'd have to find someone to drill them though. I wonder how hard it would be?@LynnNC, Some peeps drill their occ's juice holes to 3mm and run 3mm ni coils with great success. You might want to give that a shot too.
With a pair of pliers to hold them steady and a cordless drill w/ a 3mm bit you could have all 30 drilled out in less than 10 minutes. The material is quite soft. Try a couple, nothing to loose with that many lying around huh? Thanks! I'd have to find someone to drill them though. I wonder how hard it would be?
So true! I'll have to pick up a 3mm drill bit. Thanks! With a pair of pliers to hold them steady and a cordless drill w/ a 3mm bit you could have all 30 drilled out in less than 10 minutes. The material is quite soft. Try a couple, nothing to loose with that many lying around huh?
