I haven't read every post in this thread yet, but I was wondering if anyone has also noticed a surge with kanthal/wattage mode right at firing after waking the device up? My evic-vt arrived monday and I am finding when it has gone to sleep and take a puff, it will blast out of there like a jet engine! Sounds like it is hitting WAY over the wattage setting... It only lasts about a second and it calms down to the actual setting.

Mine does this too! The best hit of the day is the first one in the morning! Lol

Yes, it's a known factor of the current chipset. Just make certain that you're tank/dripper is primed and the wicks are wet.

I had to have some emergency dental work done so that took all my extra money for the HF dremel tool or even buying a drill bit. So I took a screwdriver that I have where you can switch out the bits and stuck it in the 2mm hole and just worked it from side to side. Voila! I have 3mm holes now in at least 4 occ heads.

Was just worried about that 30 watts resistance check it does.

For giggles I ran a nauti on my evic.... Didn't burn out that coil or wick (was fully saturated), just the him of a dry hit on that first hit, fine after that.

Thought I would put this out there, just received a pack of the CLR heads for the Mega One tank, did a 28g Ni200, 2.4mm, 8wrap no contact build that came out to .09Ω and it is wicking and working perfectly. Speaking for myself only, I must say this completely changes the game for this tank. The ability to re-wick and/or rebuild temp controlled coils for a tank that cost less than $20...yes please!

Thanks for the tip of making the juice holes in the OCC coils to 3mm and wicking with rayon. I opened up the hole to 3mm, wicked with rayon and WOW!! .12 ohm coil, 31.0W, and 480 degrees equals nirvana!!

Great Lynn, good to hear. I love it when a plan comes together! I guess I'm stuck with kgd cotton. Unfortunately I'm one of those who can taste ccrayon otherwise I'd be using it myself.

I've never really cared for KGD. To me, it has a taste. But we're all different! :)

I haven't tried the Ti coil yet just Ni. This Ego One seems ok but I'm still wanting a bit more from it. I was thinking about the Matrix with Ni coils.
I know its made for high watt mods but I'm thinking this Evic should be able to work nicely with it looking at the specs. Has anyone had any experience with the Matrix on the VT?

Received my vt full kit yesterday, got it to hold me over until D2 becomes available, not the biggest fan of internal batteries. However I must say the size, features and performance have been top tier. Only used the ego tank with Ti, Cthulhu dual Ni .06 (hits awesome) and subtank single Ni. Functioning TC, whole new ballgame. Messed with Ni on M80, but not real TC. Well done Joyetech.

Why the dislike of internal batteries? If they can last a whole day (most getting two days), I don't see the issue really. By the time the batteries are worn out and no longer hold a charge..... There is going to be something new and better out to replace it with anyways :p
