Oh yeah, but thinking this way that the mod will start at 60W but it will last just nanoseconds and with the temp protect mode kicked in, stay at the lower wattages. So, what is the point of having a 150W mod while it is usually using 20W or so for a .2 nickel coil? That is with a warm vape temp set at 540

I guess it depends on what type of atty you want to run. My STminis run at 37-40w at 520° because they wick better than an ego one mega. I would love to have a 100w tc mod to run an Artic tank or even a dripper.

Better Accuracy for Ti mode
Eliminate 30W Power Surge
Tighten up safety specs for kicking you out of TC mode
I probably will never use Ti mode and so far, knock on wood, I haven't been kicked out of TC mode yet!
I'm happy with it just like it is.

I was asking if there was an newer upgraded model since I was asked what version I had.
Some people speculate that there might be a newer model coming out because there was some talk of joyetech shutting down production for a bit a few weeks ago and then starting it back up again. So people were hoping that the assembly line was shut down due to getting an updated chip.

Yeah I remember readin that but didn't know if it had actually happened. I was thinking that if they did an update, mine would be a new one since they just recently re-stocked.

any issues with just running power mode with a kanger subtank ?
i'm not into tc
but i do like the long battery

I ran mine with kanthal in my STmini for a day or two.....I was kind of intimidated about the whole Ti Ni Temp Control thing. Once I switched to Ti and temp control I never looked back. It's truly the closest thing to dripper flavor I've ever experienced from a tank. Ni was just too soft for my chunky wicking technique.

I like the VT but mixed feelings about the TC side. When it works is a good vape but if I put it down for a few minutes goes berserk, TC kicks in and vape is super weak. Only workaround is to remove the atomiser and hope that the APV will allow to be reset. I hope they had implemented a way to force reset without removing the atomiser.
In VW mode works really good with Kanthal so I might drop the whole TC thing for now.
Worst part is that now they will correct the issues we have and I get stuck with current firmware.

It won't ask if new coil unless it's more than 5% change in coil resistance. So, if replacing it with a coil that's of same resistance or very close, it won't ask.
I highly doubt this was by design. Its one more bug they didnt catch that will be fixed after screwing the early adopters.

Ive had two now and the second ine still reads resistance wrong. Eventually changes it after skeep. At first it just fries cotton.

It regukarly sees anything around .15 or so as .11 after sleep. Fires and fries stuff. Warms up and settles at .12 or whatever.

Fwiw buikding lower seems to be more reliabke. Getting under .1

This has confirmed i will never buy joytech etc again. They cant help but make crap.
